It works just like the same CVS product or better. If you buy from CVS buy one get one 50% off your paying $,97 per ounce and this is $1.04 per ounce. I like the container with its wide mouth. Either one is a good buy. This product seems to work better for me.

Works well for my 90+ year husband and for me (only 75 years (:-). We take 2 teaspoonfuls per day--one in the morning and one at night. This is as good as Benefiber and far cheaper. No gassy after effects.

It adds no funky flavor like psyllium and does not gel! You won't even know the stuff is in there. This seems to dissolve a little easier than the local "store brand". Nice wide mouth for my large hands. I didn't see it mentioned but the lid has a small clip to hold the scoop, so you don't have to reach blindly down into the powder dusted jar to grab the scoop. It doesn't dissolve well in really cold drinks, but will with any room temp liquid. I like to mix three or four scoops in with my iced coffee, but end up with lumps if I put it directly in. So instead I keep a small jelly jar next to my coffee and pre-mix it with coffee before adding that to the ice.
