This charger works perfect. it fits snug which i like. it’s not lose or wobbles around while charging. it doesn’t make a noise or any kind of buzzing. i was skeptical because when plugged in my gameboy charging light would turn on for a second then turn off and stop charging. Turns out it just needed a new battery pack.

So, at first I was like other reviewers and eagerly awaited a well-priced charger for my GBA SP to arrive... only to realize I should've taken heed from past buyers as it did not do it's sole purpose and, well... charge. Thankfully though, out of desperation, I took a closer look at the inside of the charger. I saw that one of the metal pins was pushed back further than the other, making it so that it did not touch the contact plate inside the Gameboy responsible for charging the battery. Taking a regular sewing needle, I pushed the metal pin forward enough so that I could see it through a small hole in the front, as shown in the first picture, and it worked! Charges like it should now. Both metal pins should look like this in order for it to work. If this doesn't work, put your ear up against the socket the charger is plugged into, you should hear a small electrical buzzing to let you know there is a current coming in. If not, try another outlet. And if it still isn't charging and you hear no buzz, the charger is a real dud, unfortunately. If you do hear something and the trick above doesn't work, it may just be that your GBA SP battery needs to be replaced. Hope this helps!!! :)

works perfectly, gave my gameboy SP a full charge for the first time in … maybe 2 decades

First impressions. Amazon website told me to wait until about the 12th, and it arrives in my hand on the 10th. Hell yeah. The USPS package didn't look like it was thrown too much, or anybody got hungry during delivery. Always good. Didn't have to get the KaBar out, or even a pair of scissors to open the above package. Nice. Box looks like any you'd expect to see overseas. You guys haggling in the Middle Eastern FOBs know what I'm talking about. Terrible translation to English, very generic packaging, no brand name to speak of. Some of my favorites on the back: "This adapter can use in the world wide." "Risk of electric 'sorket.'" LOVE this. The product, a simple little GBA charger, is exactly what is described. Got a little reach to it, at around 3 feet or so. The prongs stow inside, like most travel chargers do. It's packed in some plastic, folded over, so you can get at it nice and easy. Included with the charger is a nice little note from these guys, asking you to let them know if you need anything, or if the product isn't exactly what you were hoping for. I discovered it only after beginning this review, but they also ask that you leave them some feedback, and a "five star" review. No problem, guys. You got one from me. Thanks a bunch.

Returned did not fit

These chargers are sure hard to find! This one works as it should. I had lost my original charger years ago, and it was nice to finally plug in my Gameboy and be able to play it again! The charger itself doesn’t feel very durable, but I’ve had it for 6 months and it still works as it should. More will tell with this one! Regardless it’s a great deal. Overall I definitely recommend if you need a GBA SP charger.

Simple product and is exactly what you need to charge an old gameboy advance. Worked right away, seems to be of good quality. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to get their old gameboys back to life.

Definitely feels a little sketchy inserting and pulling this out of the charging port on my gba sp, but it does indeed charge it just fine. Overall I can't complain too much.

It powered up my old Gameboy Advance SP! Its a tight fit in my port, which may be the problem with the cord or my Gameboy, as I fitted it with a new shell (but original parts). It does also have a slightly cheap feel, obviously when compared to OEM chargers, but I'm still happy with it for the price.

Plugging it into the gameboy, it was way too tight. It almost felt like it could damage the charging port. When i plugged it in, it started doing a high pitch noise and my gameboy started acting weird. I went to unplug it and the charger was so stuck in my gameboy that it broke appart with the connector stuck in my gameboy. First time used. It's a cheap option, but you get what you pay for. I might just be unlucky, but from my experience, I should've gone for a better quality one.
