This positively does NOT work on induction cook top! It is not magnetic. I still tested it and it does NOT work. Nice pot otherwise.

It means a layer or disc of aluminum is sandwiched between the steel, since stainless steel is a bad conductor of heat, your food would burn and stick to pan if the aluminum wasn't there.
