Nice quality shaker that holds a generous amount. The lid keeps the contents clean and dry. I bought it to use with "Green Salt" which is a very fine powder, similar to the consistency of flour or powdered sugar. My regular salt dispenser had holes too big to properly use with that, but the mesh screen on these cannisters is perfect. Very pleased with the purchase.

Saw this on a baking show and really wanted a better way to dust powdered sugar on our french toasts and other baked goods ( I used a fine mesh colander originally) This worked like a dream and is easy to reload, empty and clean. DO NOT put in the dishwasher. Clean by hand only and air dry.

I used these to make sourdough cinnamon bread, which can be very messy. Not with these! So much less of a mess. They made the whole process so much easier! I used them with sugar And cinnamon. I plan to use them with regular flour too.

I bought this for none other than containing coffee beans so I can put it in the car as air freshner. So it works pretty well for my purpose.

These little shakers are perfect for us. We are currently using them for powdered sugar and cinnamon sugar. My husband and grandchildren love these sweet toppings on their Belgian waffles, zucchini bread, pancakes, etc. and the shakers work well for the small hands as well as the large. I especially appreciate the tight fitting plastic lid that covers the sturdy mesh top. I did not have any of the "oily" residue mentioned by others. The shakers came clean, well wrapped, and in brand new condition as advertised.

As others mentioned there was a little bit of grease on the inside of my shakers, but it came off easily with a paper towel. I like the smaller size and it is a perfect flour duster for bread baking.
