Great improvement and easy installation
Perfect replacement for my OEM pump. Installed it quickly and had it working in no time at all. I feel like this pump is superior to the original as it seems to have better pressure, is quieter and with the SEAFLO accumulation tank added, it runs less frequently. Really happy with this product.

Great upgrade from stock
My tank sprayer needed a pump so I replaced the pump in my RV with this & moved the rv pump to the sprayer. This pump is amazing. Quite a bit quieter than the stock pump plus with the bypass function it can be adjusted to just trickle out if the faucet but the pump does not short cycle. 20 minute install, very very easy to do. Couldn’t be happier.

Very highly recommend purchasing this pump
Very nice pump. Super whisper quiet. I could hear the bubbling spring over the pump. Measured the flow and it is a solid 3 gallons a minute. Small enough to easily pack away into a small tote. For my type use, which is filling bottles with spring water. Turned on and it took about about 5 or 6 seconds to dry Prime the pump intake line with no issues whatsoever and that was a 4 ft climb. Very highly recommend this pump. Remember (DO NOT) use metal fittings on this pumps intake or Outlet conections. Use the plastic connectors that come with the pump. I marked my hose ends with the plastic fittings with black marker that says (pump end) on both hoses just in case someone else were to hook it up, it would be clear.

Just purchased and installed
We purchased our rig in October 2019 and it came with the Shurflo 4008-101-A65 which is common, we have had the trailer about 7 months. We rarely use the fresh water tank and are always connected to city water, two weeks ago, we heard water running and when we went out to look. There was water was coming out of the fresh water tank fill valve. We were connected to city water intake nothing should have been going into the fresh water tank. It was determined that the control valve inside the current pump had failed and we were given a couple suggestions from the dealership to try and get it to reset until we could bring it in for them to look at. Nothing fixed it and the water was flowing into the fresh water tank as if we were connected to the fresh water tank intake. We had a water regulator on the hose and the psi from the source was below what is recommended pressure wise for the water pump. And of course the regular maintenance suggested to maintain clean water lines had been done every time the inline filter was replaced. After some searching and research we found that this is a common problem with the shurflo water pumps.. We were definitely not impressed that a water pump failed 7 months after purchase. Now after talking with friends, and the dealership the SEAFLO 42-Series Water Pressure Diaphragm Pump w/Variable Flow For Reduced Cycling - 12V, 3.0GP was suggested as a great replacement option. Install was quick and easy, the water connections matched up perfectly with the old pump so no new plumbing or rerouting of pipes was needed. The wire connections were an easy swap out and within 30 minutes we were up and running again. I can not believe how quite this pump is, we barely hear it kick on, water flow from the pump is the same if not better than the old pump. Durability is something that will have to be determined after we have this pump for a while.

Broke after 2-days of use: Update
2-days after I installed this pump, it failed to work. It ran awesome for the first 2-days, pulling water from an external water tank, and keeping pressured water at my RV city water connection. The pump would cycle off, when we stopped using water, and would cycle back on, once the water was in use. We were leaving the RV, for a couple days, so I disconnected the pump, from the battery...just in case we sprung a leak in the RV. When we returned, and hooked the pump back up to the battery...nothing happened. I turned spigots on, nothing. I verified water was still flowing to the pump...all good. I felt the pump and the motor area was getting hot. I guess it was getting power. I unplugged the pump, for a few hours, and tried again. Nothing. What a shame. I did request a replacement pump, but it won't be here for at least a MONTH! Seriously? I can go to Amazon and place an order to the exact same vendor, for the exact same pump, today...and it is eligible for Prime 2-day Shipping. I am basically going to have to buy a cheap pump, so I can have water while I wait. Seems the company doesn't care much about previous customers...only new customers. When the new pump comes in, I will update this review...if the pump lasts more than 2-days. ---------------------------------------- New pump arrived, about 2 weeks later. Haven't had a problem with the replacement pump. Updated the rating from 1 to 4 stars.

5 year update: Made it past 4 year warranty
5 Year update: Died on first fishing trip this year (March 2025). Pump has severe corrosion on all metal parts and all 4 mounting feet have broken off. Pump was mounted solidly on a horizontal surface using all 4 mounting screws. The space is ventilated and completely dries out between trips - Point being: Probably not the worst bilge environment it could have been subjected to. I reduced this from 4 to 1 star due to extreme corrosion and complete mechanical failure of the mount. There is no apparent anti-corrosion coating on any of the metal. I will be replacing this pump with a brand that utilizes stainless motor housings and at least attempt to provide some level of corrosion preventive coating. Even though this is an inexpensive pump, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. Original Review" Replaced a 45 PSI, 5gpm pump with this pump. Added the accumulator tank to offset the 2 gpm reduction in flow capacity. Accumulator works like a mini pressure tank by having a captive air bladder which compresses under water pressure from the pump and gives you some added volume of water flow before the pump drops to its low limit and turns on. Less pump cycling, less power consumption, more volume at the higher pressures. Well, it works ok but I was spoiled by the old failed higher volume pump. Ran for 1 minute into a bucket with no nozzle and it moved 2 1/2 gallons of water. Not quite the 3 gpm they specified. 3', 3/4" diameter inlet hose and 2',3/4" diameter outlet hose to a10' long 1/2" i.d. coil hose. 18" draw to the pump from the inlet. Washdown gets it's use washing catfish slime off hands and boat. Lots of occasional use. Not as good a setup as the lower pressure, higher volume pump which it replaced. Picture is what was installed. Sorry, not diving the bilge for an install picture. It's in with 4 stainless screws which do not come with the pump. While your picking up the screws and clamps at Lowes, get a few waterproof elctrical crimps in their pump aisle. They shrink with a heat gun or lighter and give you a water tivht connection that will not corrode. Had to adapt inlet and outlet hoses in boat from 3/4" down to 1/2". That was preexisting plumbing and just meant a trip to Lowes for reducer fittings and stainless clamps. Fittings that came with pump are 1/2" and work fine. This absolutely is not up to washing down you deck. As soon as you bleed off the higher pressure and your into the flow the pump can supply you get a flow on par with what this 58 year old fart can do on his own... 4 stars for marginal flow which is 1/2 5gpm under rating. Probably going to buy a higher capacity pump and move this one to the freshwater system in the boat to replace a 1 gpm lame excuse for a pump there. My advice is, don't cheap out and get a low 5gpm rated pump. I think the SeaFlow is a good product for the money and will likely buy another one, just higher 5gpm rating.

This pump is a workhorse!
Excellent product. Super quiet, very easy to install, perfect fit for my setup, very well made. It comes with a rubber base to absorb vibrations which makes it quieter than it already is. I’ve been using it daily for about a week now without any issues. My daily use is basically to water my garden which takers about 30 minutes of continuous use and supply a toilet and a sink that are off grid. Suction head of my setup is about 2 feet and the other end head is about 10 feet, no issues at all, pressure is great and the auto shut off works flawlessly. Mine is powered by a small battery bank of about 50amps that is connected to a wind generator so is completely off grid. If you want a quiet, powerful, easy to install, great quality 12 volts pump; look no further this is the one you need!!!
