The Mummy Jet Li Dragon Emperor 30" Chinese Sword Replica

I would love to review this product, but unfortunately I never received it. I will take a moment to review Amazons inability to govern their vendors. I ordered this product and received confirmation of shipmentwith an arrival date 10 days latter. 10days latter I received confirmation of shipment again! When I called the vendor they said they had informed me that the item is out of stock (no option for backorder) and I will receive a refund in 7-10 business days. they never informed me that the item was unavailable. They kept my money for almost 20 days collecting interest on it. Then refunded it. Amazon still thinks I receive this item. They are clue-less that unethical vendors are bilking people out of their money in some very clever and creative ways...Wonderful product.

I PURCHASED THIS SWORD AS A "LIKE" PIECE TO A SET.SOLD TO ME BRAND NEW AT A PRICE THAT WAS SO VERY COOL, AND DELIVERED TO ME IN WHAT SEEMED LIKE JUST A COUPLE OF DAYS, THIS SWORD IS ALL THAT IT WAS CLAIMED TO BE.IT IS BEAUTIFUL, STURDY AND SOLID. THE EXTREMELY BROAD BLADE IS DOUBLE EDGED AND IS ONE SERIOUS PIECE OF STEEL WITH BI-LATERAL BLOOD GROOVES CENTRALLY RUNNING THE LENGTH OF THE BLADE TO A GOOD POINT.IT COMPLIMENTS MY COLLECTION PERFECTLY AND I'M VERY HAPPY WITH ALL THAT HAS HAPPENED HERE.JIMBO THE BATMAN

Not so much as a sword of any kind.I purchased this as "Trademark Replica Ancient King of Yue Sword" from Amazonthemselves. Though I was well aware it was from the 3rd? mummy movie, whichco-starred Jet Li and was in fact used by him. interestingly enough thereis a chinese sword manufacturer that makes a TRUE BRASS replica of the kingof YUE sword, if you don't know who that is. wikipedia it.I haven't really watched the3rd mummy movie, so i don't know if jet li'scharacter was based on the historical figure of YUE.This replica is made from carbon steel, certainly not forged but probablyformed. The handle may be brass but it's been "antiqued" by paint.The same goes for the brass work on the saya/scabbard which is made withsimple wood and simply painted with a light coat of satin black.All the detail on the brass is pretty cool and makes for a very visuallyinteresting ornamental sword while sheathed, pulling the sword out of it'sscabbard pretty much breaks this visual illusion. The blade is large wide butunimpressive, blade heavy and unsharpened, with 1/8th of an inch edge.also where the blade attaches to the guard, it is filled with what lookslike cold cast resin, which on mine has cracked. also since it is carbonsteel, it has the potential to rust/tarnish. Mine has a bit of rust on one edgeand a few black spots on one side of the blade. My advise would be toeither leave it as it comes greased and hope it keeps,or clean it with a mild metal cleaner then rub it down completely with agun/reel cloth.(the blade only) (good protection no grease or oil)Mine is quite difficult to remove from it's scabbard,I'm fine with that for the reasons listed.Not a bad ornamental sword, not a real sword in any means, but looks cooland interesting in an almost anime-ish exaggerated way.

Received the same day, the handle came out while play around a little bit. The design of the product has issue for the handle being just inserted. A sword can not be like that even for practise one. Asking for return but got no feed back yet. Qswords, the saler, may think that I damaged the sword.
