Beautiful! But make sure you have the time and patience
The media could not be loaded. I know this is long but worth reading before you buy. First, this is a great gift to others or yourself! It came with (almost) everything you needed to assemble a charming and unique bookshelf display. The person we gave it to was over the moon with the gift. The craftsmanship on the hundred-plus pieces was excellent and they were easy to remove from the stencil without breaking - but be gentle. We did this as a family project and all sat around the table putting together our parts and had great family time as well as a well-crafted item when finished. We decided to paint ours. It did not come with paint, but it looks great not painted as well. This project requires both patience and dexterity and could be frustrating to some. This is NOT for children under 12! This is an adult activity. The directions are a multi-page PDF that opens with a QR code. The directions seem confusing at first, but after careful inspection, they are quite good and make total sense. You can print them or just open them on your phone or tablet. We found printing the first 10 pages VERY helpful, then once we got the rhythm down tablet worked just fine. You might need to resize/enlarge the PDF to print legibly. For the best outcome, I would recommend the following:An undisturbed worksurface that dogs/cats/kids will not mess with.Well-lit worksurface. Some pieces are VERY small. Use a small plastic box to keep all the little bits in so they don't get misplaced.A GOOD clear-drying craft glue. Glue is NOT included but absolutely necessary! I do not recommend instant drying glue as you may want to reposition things as you go. A glue gun might work but I used craft glue and it worked well.Work on it only a couple of hours at a time. Work in stages. Let the glue dry, put it up, and start fresh another day.A good pair of tweezers. An anti-slip mat. A baking mat works great. If you choose to paint, paint BEFORE assembly. Now for the one very serious flaw:The wiring diagram was horrid. Really horrid. I could not get the window lights to work. I rage texted my master electrician friend and it became clear they were faulty and would never work. I was also missing parts to the electrical setup. I reached out to Amazon, but since it is a third-party seller, not much they could do. So I bought a very small string of copper wired led lights for about $5 and solved that problem. The Little street lights did work, so what I wound up with was one plug-in set of lights and one battery set of lights. Which at the end of the day was ok, because you can light up the windows and the street lamps separately. All in all, I recommend this product with the clear understanding that it is a project. A tedious, fun, frustrating, unique project. I liked the finished project well enough that I am willing to put myself through it again and I am ordering a clock next. Hope this helps.

Diagon IRegretThis Alley
These directions are in a Dropbox for this confusing and complex model. Yes, model‐like construction is necessary for a successful build on this nook. Be ready with a steady hand while assembling these tiny punch out wooden parts with the provided tweezers but no glue. You'll need to purchase that separately. Behold when the project is complete you will be proud of your 13+ hr assembly. Have fun Potterheads!

$80 is not worth the HOURS spent building this
I understand it says DIY (Do It Yourself) but for $80 one would think you just need to connect the walls of the bookshelf not literally every minute detail to gluing the actual tiles of the floor one by one. Not to mention you have to download the instructions which is tedious for those without a printer trying to scroll up and down the manual thats over 80 pages. Over 50 unique little steps you have to do and the best part of it all is that the materials arent always the same as they look on the instructions so you have to eyeball to see which piece it is referring to.Bought this for my cousins birthday because shes obsessed with Harry Potter but honestly I 1000% wouldve preferred to buy her another memorabilia than this. If you are going to make your customer do all the work for this bookshelf at least offer it at a lesser price.Imagine going to a restaurant and the chef gives you all the ingredients to make your meal and makes you cook your own food. Then at the end of the night makes you pay full price, makes absolutely no sense. Most of the materials are literally wood that you have to cut out, $80 for wood? What was that shit made of sandalwood or pink ivory?!10/10 will definitely NOT BUY and advocating to anyone to not by this. Was literally telling the person I was in line with yesterday at the grocery store not to buy this product.

Battery pack not included, misleading
Misleading product and no instruction sheet? The directions are NOT clear at all, the item is not worth $62, totally misleading.lights are included but you’re forced to then purchase a battery pack separate. Totally not okay with the misleading listing though.

It was fun to build
Instructions are not very good. It took my 8 hours straight non stop and I still need to paint it.The lights string didn’t work, I had to order another set from Amazon.

Oh , easy for Leonardo!
It’s missing some integral pieces. I think a bag ofitems, paint, glue which I have , no plastic tubing for the electrical elements! The downloadable instructions are difficult to open. Fortunately, I have a set I bought from another company or we’re SOL!

Being able to finish a DIY product.
It is giftable only if you can finish it. My kit came with no instructions and the electrical instruction were in a different language and no battery which means if your manage to assemble this kit you have no way of lighting the interior. And if you can't do that, what's the point in wasting your time putting it together. So no, I would not give it as a gift.

Maybe a joke item from Zonkos?
Very excited, opened the package and was immediately disappointed. The instructions were illogical and incoherent, the pieces were super flimsy, and then to top it off, I got charged twice for it when I tried to return.

Batteries not included....as the ol saying goes
Be adivsed there is no picture of finshed product, have to scan a code that is inside to obtain manual, I am not into all this techy stuff, now have to email to the email address that came with the scan code, just wanted to open the box and get started. Only gave five stars to be visable for those who are not into all this new tech stuff.
