DELICIOUS Madagascar Whole Vanilla Beans. I keep seeing videos of making my own vanilla extract and it looks very easy. These beans were very fresh and easy to use. Each appx 5”-7” in length (the majority of the very inexpensive ones are appx 4”). These beans are Grade A quality and very tasty. Lots of vanilla caviar inside of each fresh bean. I made 10 bottles with 5 beans in each. I’m saving about 75% from grocery store prices and I know exactly what is in my extract! They’re fresh, moist, pliable yet still strong and sturdy to push inside of a jar. I’m so excited for the jars to mature and be ready to use!! After I use them in the extract, I’m going to grind them up to make vanilla bean sugar! So I’m getting a phenomenal bargain from one bag of vanilla beans. I’m really excited. I feel like I’m becoming more of a home maker now than ever before. It’s been so fun. I need something to help get my mind off of the stress of my life. This process is actually helping me so much. One bag of delicious vanilla beans. Less stress.

After purchasing many different brands of vanilla beans over the years this brand of vanilla beans has been the most impressive. Upon opening the package I was immediately impressed by the quality of the beans and the overall size. All of the vanilla beans had retained their moisture and immediately made my kitchen extremely aromatic. This was the perfect batch to make extract with, and I was so impressed I immediately returned to purchase two additional packages. This is a high-value purchase that doesn’t compromise on quality. Moist, aromatic, consistent, and ideal for both extract and cooking. I would absolutely purchase again.

We have bought these a couple of times now, primarily to make homemade vanilla extract. The beans arrive vacuum sealed and consistently look and smell excellent right out of the package. They are long, dark, and very pliable, with plenty of visible seeds inside, which lines up well with the stated moisture content. These are clearly not dried out or brittle beans. Most of our use has been for extract rather than baking. We have not settled on a single extraction method yet, but our usual approach is soaking split beans in glass jars with 151 proof alcohol. This last batch we mixed things up and used a combination of 151, vodka, and Captain Morgan spiced rum in separate jars. We let everything rest for about six months before checking on them, and all batches developed a strong vanilla aroma and deep color as expected. Flavor wise, these have the classic Madagascar profile. Rich, creamy, and very aromatic. They work well regardless of the alcohol used, though the higher proof extracts do seem to pull flavor a bit faster and more intensely. The beans themselves hold up well over long soaks and do not turn mushy or lifeless. Do not let the package size fool you. Fifty beans go a long way if you are making extract in multiple jars, and the overall value here is very solid given the quality. As long as you plan to use them fully, especially for extract, these are a very good buy and we have been happy enough to reorder.

Beans had moisture to them the smell of the vanilla is very strong and delicious. Beans were dark in color and all about the same size. But $30 for 50 beans is rather expensive compared to going to the manufacturer website and ordering directly from them.

I’m a repeat customer a few times over. This is the only vanilla I use. Big, fat vanilla beans!!! Perfect!

first time purchasing vanilla beans and was told to get the best. Researched and purchased these. these beans were very fresh and a little over 5 inches long. Seemed right on the mark that approx 10 beans was 1 oz as needed for 8 oz vodka. will purchase again
