Fantastic storage
I love this item. I bought two and have them one on top of the other. Extremely functional and easy to open and close. Looks great with the led light that I use to back-light it. Storage capacity is high as I have many more pens than I need packed away in them. Great for your desk organization needs.

I didn't believe the stories about poor shipping and damaged items until it happened to me.
Read the reviews and knew about the complaints of poor packaging and damage during shipping, but I thought maybe my experience would be different. I received the Muji Acrylic 5 Drawers today and it was shipped from Japan to the US in nothing except a brown paper bag... seriously, I'm not exaggerating, the drawers were literally placed in a brown paper bag, there was no inner box or any type of padding. So, did my item arrived undamaged? I thought so at first, everything looked great, top, front, and sided looks perfect. All the corners were sharp (except one). Until I took a look at the back... an entire corner was completed shattered, it's being held together by friction, but it's clearly broken. I started a return, all the way back to Japan, hope they enjoy eating all the shipping fees. This all could have been avoided with a box and a little bit of bubble wrap. I placed an order for the same thing, but directly from Muji this time.

Don't buy if you are in US: poor shipping and packaging
The package was broken when I received it and there are obvious cracks on the top panel. The left panel does not align with its little drawer so making it not so sturdy. I bought those storage unit before and they work perfectly. BUT for this one it came with absolutely no packaging like they didn't even bother putting a bubble wrap over it so it came broken. DONT GET IT.

Arrived with a 6 inch crack, can’t return.

Waited a month and it was damaged
Ordered the 5 drawer and large drawer and both had cracks split down the side. Such a disappointment after looking forward to them for a month.
