Was looking for a play food with rice, not just the box that says rice. This was it, and i was happy to also see broccoli and a cheese only pizza. The food is sturdy, squishes if you squeeze it, like dog toy consistency i guess. It's going to be able to take a beating, but it still bends a bit so its not super hard either. Overall, was very impressed and got another set the dinner set from this company too. I wanted to put up the picture bc no one said exactly what the foods were except the obvious ones, so this is what's on back that lists them. Honestly, before i got the box, i looked online to figure it out and no one listed them all. I thought the samosa was a fortune cookie, the pita looked like flan. Suppose a kid could still pretend they are. Price wise, a little sad it didn't come with a few more international foods as they are nearly $2 each. Taco is pretty plain and didn't like yet another toy set with a croissant and shrimp- could have been egg rolls or won tons, quesadillas, piece of salmon, cous cous...Really though, in general, very happy with this toy set.

I have never been disappointed by a Learning Resources purchase, but this really goes above and beyond. My kids are part of a multi-cultural family and we eat food from all parts of the world, so it was amazing to find food that represents familiar food items we consistently eat as a family. The quality on these foods are top notch - definitely not like the cheap plastic food of my childhood that would dent and crack. While they are plastic, they are thick, durable, heirloom-type quality... these are toys I will keep for my children to pass to their children. These would be great for private or commercial use.

If you are tired of the usual foods out there for pretend, look no further! These are a little pricey, but well worth it! They are a durable, high quality plastic rubbery material that will definitely last! I love that these are not the typical pretend foods! My family is a multicultural family, and this is a great way to show the actual foods we eat and not just the basic pretend foods. I want to show my little one that there are all types of foods and not just the basic 'Americanized' types out there. I want her to know there is a whole world out there with many different types of cultures and foods. This is a great start! She can now have the everyday foods our family has and also get to know other different types of foods. She loves that this set includes an avocado, she adores avocados! Again, these certainly are not your everyday, cheapo pretend foods! If you want quality and diversity, get this set! I only wish there were more play sets out there like this!

I love these learning resources play food sets! They are great quality and I love that they offer different cuisine options. I wish the pieces were a tad bigger though but they are good size for little hands. A little pricey but they are built to last.

I’m a grandma of seven and have a playroom in my house. Learning Resources play food is The only brand I’ll buy. Its realistic and well made. The kids are loving all the international food such as, edamame, tacos and sushi. I recommend any food set made my Learning Resources.

These are such cute food additions to the other sets Learning Resources makes. My kiddos love these. They are incredibly durable and we use them outside in their kitchen play area. The paint holds up really well. I just brought them all in and washed them with some bleach water as they were getting a little gross. Some of them have holes drilled in and some don't. I imagine it will take days for the water to dry out inside.. Hoping it doesn't mold, bit that's my fault as I don't think they were intended for that. Either way I will be looking for more sets like this one to add to their collection. They are really lifelike and they love exploring different foods.

I had to purchase two sets, one for my licensed child care home and one for my great niece. The kids all love them. This company makes a great product.

I cannot say enough good things about these Learning Resources play food sets. I like the quality of their plastic, they are easy to clean, they do not get bent easily like with other playfood sets that end up all dented in places. I know these sets are for little hands, however, the taco, pita and Gouda cheese pieces were too small compared to the other pieces and other play food sets from LR. The rice was removable from the bowl, I don't know if it was a defect or intended to do so, but I liked the fact that I could mix and match pieces from other LR playfood sets with it. That was a plus. Overall it is good quality product!

Learning resources est une marque que j affectionne beaucoup, pour sa solidité, son originalité, sa durabilité. Il est difficile de trouver des aliments en plastiques solides sur le marché et bien là c est parfait, bonne maniabilité, facile à entretenir et désinfecter (mais je n immerge pas les pièces dans l eau). J ai plusieurs aliments de cette marque ils n ont pas bougé, je suis assistante maternelle je peux donc vous dire qu ils sont utilisés régulièrement ! Je regrette qu en France nous n arrivons pas pour le moment à trouver les "aliments sains" de la gamme ou alors à des prix exorbitant c est bien dommage... Pour revenir à notre ensemble, les aliments sont bien réalisés mais parfois je suis septique par la taille en rapport d un à l autre. Je racheterai tout de même, je recommande bien évidemment car il est rare de trouver avocat, crevettes etc... pour garnir la dînette des enfants. L enfant apprend des aliments, des couleurs, le calcul (nombre d aliments à mettre ds l assiette), le jeu de rôle, développement du langage, et pour les plus grands apprendre un repas équilibré. Le tarif est en rapport avec la qualité entre 27/30 euros. Vous l avez compris je recommande cette article 😊

A good toy set for teaching toddlers and young children about various types of foods which hopefully they will eventually eat! Good size for little hands and in my case, complements the other play foods from this brand.

Great quality. We have a lot of the Learning Resources New Sprouts play food and it's always excellent.
