Johnny B Fuddy Matte Styling Gel

The hair gel smells really nice and has a good sticky texture that works well for my son's styling. It holds my hair in place without being too heavy. One thing to note — when the package first arrived, it was empty, which was disappointing. But I reached out, and the seller quickly sent me a replacement at no extra charge. Really appreciated the great customer service! That experience alone deserves a star. Overall, happy with the product and the way everything was handled

We use to purchase Zach’s gel for my boys but the product is sold out everywhere. I asked our barber what she recommended and she said Johnny B. I purchased this gel the next day and immediately loved it. It’s not greasy and the quality and smell is amazing. The best part, you don’t have to use to much at a time to do the job! The price is reasonable for the size and would definitely buy again.

This is probably a great product if you’re not looking for strong holding power.Thus will allow you to style your hair and get it in place where you want it.Staying power isn’t that great.We prefer Johnny B Dope for best staying power,but the price has gone way up on Amazon in comparison to what we used to be able to get it for.We did give it a fair try,but it just didn’t give our hair the hold we needed!

Love this stuff! This is my favorite hair product and I have a lot, from mouse, root sprays and texturizing balms. A little bit goes a long way and it makes my hair have the lift that I’m looking for that I didn’t get from other hair products!

Very disappointed in the 12oz matte gray volume of jonnny b i just received. i used to pay $16-20 for a 20oz megasize clear container with yellow lettering and grey cap. The consistency of the fuddy was truly amazing, it was tacky to the fingers, but clumpy so it was easy to work with. Amazon has been selling fuddy product for quite some time and it hasn't been the same. The fuddy is more gel like, slimy and sticky, and you need much more of it to have the same matte hold effect. This new gel formula is more like the mode product, and not what I bargained for. Yes, the cool 'saw dust' smell is still intact, but the consistency just sucks. Its messier and i wish they would go back to the old formula. For whatever its worth when i purchased the old fuddy from a salon or private vendor (no this is not an endorsement) it came factory sealed in plastic and the fuddy consistency was the original. Now it appears the market including amazon is flooded with the cheap jelly version. I did order another white container from ebay and hoping it is the real deal. Very upset Johnny B!! wish your products were consistent in the stream of commerce and they are not!!

I like this hair gel. It has a very firm hold, but is not as matte I expected it to be. I really like this company because my hair is extremely frizzy and hard to manage but this product works well for my hair type.
