## Description

Grow a fresh, flavorful salad garden with the Gardeners Basics Lettuce Seeds for Planting collection. This five-variety leafy greens seed pack includes five individually labeled paper seed packets, five plant markers, and more than 4,500 heirloom seeds for planting. Every variety is non-GMO, non-hybrid, open-pollinated, and sourced from U.S. suppliers. Enjoy five popular leafy greens: approximately 1,950 Buttercrunch lettuce seeds, 1,850 Parris Island romaine lettuce seeds, 275 Roquette arugula seeds, 235 Vates Blue Scotch Curled kale seeds, and 200 Bloomsdale spinach seeds. Each variety is packaged separately, allowing you to plant, grow, and harvest every crop on its ideal schedule instead of receiving one mixed seed blend. These lettuce seeds, kale seeds, spinach seeds, and arugula seeds are suitable for raised garden beds, traditional garden rows, patio containers, indoor seed starting, succession planting, and other compatible growing spaces. Selected varieties may also be used as hydroponic lettuce seeds, spinach seeds for hydroponics, or leafy greens for aquaponic systems when the requirements of each variety and growing system are followed. Every paper seed packet includes planting and harvesting instructions for that specific variety, including guidance for sowing depth, temperature, light, spacing, watering, thinning, and harvest timing. Growing requirements vary among lettuce, kale, spinach, and arugula, so follow each packet and choose the appropriate planting season for your local climate. This leafy greens seed variety pack is an excellent choice for spring and fall gardens, container gardening, raised beds, hydroponic gardens, aquaponic gardens, and gardeners who want a dependable selection of salad garden seeds. Keep unused packets labeled and store them in a cool, dark, dry place. The five included plant markers make it easy to identify every variety from planting through harvest.

Review: Excellent Germination Rate - With the diarrhea parasite floating around America, I really started to kick myself for not growing any salad greens this year, so I kicked into gear for autumn as the end of July neared. I planted these in a narrow raised bed & they sprouted in around three days. Granted I planted some a little too close, but I’ll thin and move them around when they’re bigger. This is a great mix because 1) you’ll be eating butter crunch lettuce in a month’s time 2) several can be eaten raw in a salad or cooked as a veg side like Swiss chard, kale and spinach. I did see some people write reviews saying they had trouble getting their spinach to germinate, but I didn’t have that problem. I planted them straight into the soil & made sure to water them daily. These are healthy viable seeds at a great price. All looks good from here. Will try and update when they get bigger.
Review: So far so good - Everything sprouted in 3 to 4 days, so far so good

## Questions & Answers

**Q: If I cut a lettuce leaf off the plant, will more lettuce leaf grow**
A: If it is a loose leaf lettuce (as opposed to a solid head lettuce, think iceberg). Yes you can cut leaves from the outside of the head, near the base. This leaves the developing leaves closer to the center to mature. And eventually they will be on the outside and can be cut off for a crisp salad. I will warn though, leafy greens tend to sprout with a bit of chill in the air!

**Q: Will lettuce keep growing back year round in SoCal?**
A: You would need to replant your lettuce seeds eventually. You most likely can grow lettuce year-round. If it gets too hot though, your lettuce might bolt. Each lettuce pack has a couple of thousand seeds though, so one set of our lettuce seeds for planting variety pack would last you a long time! I see lots of salad greens in your future. Happy planting!

**Q: Can these be cultivated/harvested as microgreens?**
A: Yes. Definitely.. enjoy it.

**Q: Does this packet ship via UPS or Fedex? (Because USPS services is not available at my location). Thank you.**
A: You should check shipping with Amazon.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Germination Rate
*by M***0 on August 2, 2026*

With the diarrhea parasite floating around America, I really started to kick myself for not growing any salad greens this year, so I kicked into gear for autumn as the end of July neared. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So far so good
*by A***M on August 26, 2026*

Everything sprouted in 3 to 4 days, so far so good

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Seeds at a Reasonable Price, Average Germination
*by I***. on October 21, 2023*

Good variety of seeds that can survive a bit into the colder weather once established. Great value with the amount of seeds that are provided, and I’d say there was a blended average germination rate of around 70-80%. I planted a bit too late into the summer season in a 7b zone, so I didn’t anticipate that I’d have a lot of them that were established enough to last very long into fall / winter, but figured I’d have fun with it and give it a try. As expected, most of them had their growth stunted or died off, but I’m writing this towards the end of October, and the Kale actually appears to have some survivors that are growing and looks like they may give me a small harvest before winter gets them. Fingers crossed!
