Great product
This thing is amazing. We have a new one and a renewed one and there's no difference. They both sound great and the mic works pretty well compared to other wireless mics I've used before. No latency issues.

Best purchase for a gift or for the house.
The media could not be loaded. My husband and I love to have people over for karaoke nights and this was a great gift for Christmas. We bought the JBL microphones and somehow everyone sounds like a well paid radio talk show host. We bring it with us everywhere we go, on vacations, boat days, BBQs, camping (away from others of course), and our friends ask us to bring it for after dinner parties all the time. The sound quality is amazing and the carry strap/cordless option is great. We also bought the larger JBL for our son and you can combine karaoke powers which is pretty fun.I would definitely recommend this if you are on the go people or don't have enough space for the bigger ones. This is always the life of the party and easy to transport. We haven't had the battery die on us yet and we've played with it out for hours, so the lifespan is pretty solid.

Surprisingly good sound for size
I have purchased other JBL party boxes and have since stopped wasting money with all other pretender brands. Microphone and portability is great for last second social gatherings.

Solid portable speaker
Tl;dr - good speaker but underwhelming, poor microphone, prefer the Partybox 110Good quality JBL speaker on its own, but a little underwhelming and I am returning it. No technical problems, cell phone connected with no problem, microphone use was simple. I liked the carrying strap. Sound was great overall though I was not impressed with the microphone. I have been singing in a band for over 15 years so maybe I have been spoiled by professional equipment but I thought the sound quality from the microphone was poor. I don't really know how to describe it, it just sounded cheap. I also didn't like the gating on the microphone. I think it is supposed to be a technique for blocking out extraneous sounds, but it would not pick up the very beginning of the first word in a sentence, and if singing very softly or trailing off at the end of a phrase, sometimes it would stop picking that up as well. This is very much ideal for loud karaoke settings but it was a little disorienting for me bc I'm used to much more sensitive microphones. I did not try a different microphone with it.We compared the JBL Partybox OTG head-to-head with a JBL Partybox 110 and unsurprisingly, the 110 won with flying colors. Much louder, clearer, much more bass. Also compared with a Tribit speaker hubby found randomly on Amazon and as longtime JBL owners we were surprised to find the JBL OnTheGo lost that battle as well (JBL OTG is larger in size but sound is smaller and less crisp, and battery life is advertised to be significantly less.) For the sake of thoroughness, the JBL 110 also won over the Tribit, but we are keeping both for different purposes. I actually tried the JBL 310 first, but sent it back bc it was much larger, heavier, and more expensive than I wanted for the the purpose of just being a speaker in my home and occasionally taking out for family/friend karaoke. I did not have a chance to compare it head-to-head with the 110.

We love this . It is small and compact you can take it anywhere. The sound is great and it can get very loud.

Used this for my wedding and it did the trick!
We used this as our only sound equipment for our entire wedding. We used the microphone for the ceremony and vows, speeches, directing people for photos and also playing music. We charged it before hand and it lasted 6 hours without being plugged in. Worth the purchase!
