The Best Pumpkin Seeds Iโve Ever Tasted โ Truly Unrivaled!
I absolutely love these heirloom pumpkin seeds by Wilderness Poets. Theyโre on a whole different level โ the taste is out of this world! Iโve been loyal to another brand for years, but after trying these at Erewhon, I was completely blown away. Compared to the regular pumpkin seeds shown in my photo, these are noticeably larger, more vibrant, and packed with rich, deep flavor. You can really taste the difference โ robust, nutty, and perfectly crunchy. The beautiful dark color says it all: pure, organic goodness bursting with nutrients and freshness. Wilderness Poets nailed it with these. Iโll never go back to any other brand! Theyโre the gold standard for pumpkin seeds.

Worth the extra cost - these are next level!
I'm a health nut (pun intended!) so instead of eating junk like chips I eat things like pumpkin seeds for my snack. I was previously ordering a different brand's organic pumpkin seeds for about half the price of these, but like a lot of nutrition nerds, I started to get spooked by the fact that they were a product of China. Long story long, I decided to give these a try - even though they are twice as expensive - and I can only say I wish I had switched over to this brand years ago! Not only are they grown in the US, the flavor is an absolute game changer. Obvious-but-not-so-obvious-shocker: these taste rich, earthy, and with a hint of pumpkin! These also look like the pumpkin seeds you might see scooped out of an actual pumpkin. It's been a fantastically unexpected surprise how these also evoke good memories of autumn and the association of pumpkins around Halloween. I say all this because the other pumpkin seeds I was buying were tiny, olive green, and, for the most part, sort of tasty, but in hindsight they didn't look or taste like the kind of pumpkin seeds you find in actual pumpkins, but I always assumed it's just because they didn't have time to mature or something. (Note: I just did a quick search and the tiny green kind are the inner kernels.) Anyhow, I will never turn back to the comparatively bland and boring, tiny green pumpkin seed kernels grown in potentially sketchy environments. For now on, the Wilderness Poets of Oregon have my business. (love that name, by the way - as well as the pink and green packaging.) U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!

Healthy Eats
I've purchased these 12 times. 11 of those times I would give them a 5 star. My last bag was stale , Amazon did refund the cost and I again purchased a bag to hopefully see that it was a one time issues. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Love them roasted.
Great quality and taste. Like them best after soaking overnight and rinsing a couple of times, then roasting and lightly salting.

disappointing to have these be the only pumpkin seeds to not sit well with my stomach given growing area having seemed ideal
I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE TASTE OR IMPACT OF EATING ANY OTHER TYPE OF PUMPKIN SEEDS. And I have eaten a lot of organic pumpkin seeds from various sources over the years including the bulk ones from Whole Food. I switched to GoRaw in early 2015 upon discovering that most organic pumpkin seeds come from China because Whole Foods mistakenly told me the GoRaw ones were the only ones in their store that were grown in the U.S. I think it's because as happens with many people, they misinterpreted the UDSA organic label as meaning it is grown in the U.S. whereas it simply means they were grown according to those standards. But the standards cannot ensure that unhealthy metals or other toxins are ending up in the foods in higher levels when grown in countries or areas with badly polluted air & soils & less stringent sanitary standards. So ever since I called GoRaw to ask about their country of origin as it was not posted on their package, finding out it was China started a long search for raw organic pumpkin seeds grown a cleaner area than densely populated China or even Mexico where logistics of such areas usually make it hard to avoid being exposed to contaminants in higher levels than in countries like the U.S. or Canada or Europe. SO I THOUGHT I'D FINALLY FOUND THE IDEAL & TRULY HEALTHY SOURCE OF RAW ORGANIC PUMPKIN SEEDS IN THIS PRODUCT & WAS SO CONFIDENT they would work great given their being grown in an ideal location (lush Oregon) & given all totally positive reviews by reviewers who posted at different times & have reviewed many different products & thus seem to be genuine customers motivated to post by a truly great product. Thus I bought the 5 lb size as it was the most cost-effective way to get these seeds including in then enabling free shipping. I'M INCLUDING ALL THESE DETAILS HERE TO SPARE OTHER CUSTOMERS THE POTENTIAL DISAPPOINTMENT BY RECOMMENDING YOU FIRST TRY THE SMALLEST SIZE IN CASE THESE MIGHT NOT WORK WELL FOR YOU BUT LET'S HOPE I'M THE EXCEPTION. I DID ALSO FIND THEM TO TASTE RATHER LIKE CARDBOARD not exactly that dry but close to it as well as in blandness. SO UNFORTUNATELY THE OTHER PUMPKIN SEEDS I'VE USED OVER THE YEARS INCLUDING THE ONES FROM CHINA WHICH I DID NOT WANT TO KEEP TAKING because of concerns about contaminants, ALL TASTED BETTER IMO THAN THESE SEEMINGLY IDEAL U.S. GROWN ONES. FYI I did last year as part of my search for a cleaner country source of organic pumpkins get Natural Healing House Organic Raw Austrian Pumpkin Seeds 16 oz which since has been unavailable. Those pumpkin seeds did taste & look somewhat different from the usual & as I recall are closer to the size & type of pumpkin seed in this product, but I had no problem eating those even though they also didn't wow me with their taste but I found it worth the compromise for the cleaner country of origin. SO AT THIS POINT THE Skout Organic Trailpak Raw Pumpkin Seeds, Pacific Sea Salt, 6 Count seems to be the best option even though they are rather salty & their other flavors are too spicy for me. And their price is even higher & seems to be rising rapidly in the months since I discovered them. But those seeds do taste very fresh & nutritious & flavor-full & although Mongolia may not be much better than China in being right next to it, it is from a remote area of Mongolia & thus likely cleaner than usually densely populated China. And the company immediately responded to my posted question about country of origin & in their response said they also share my concerns about purity of product & so ongoingly test to ensure no unsafe levels of toxic metals. I found that very reassuring as every other company whose product had posted questions about country of origin concerns either never bothered replying or just said it was China with no mention of any steps taken to ensure sufficient purity despite many Amazon customers increasingly voicing their concerns about these issues.

Fleshy, delicious, and most importantly, sourced in the USA.
Wilderness Poets Organic Heirloom Pumpkin Seeds are very fleshy and succulent. They are unsalted, which is a major plus for heart health. Most importantly, I ordered them because they are one of the few brands that source their pumpkin seeds from the United States and, alternatively, from Europe โ not from China. Disclaimer: I am a regular paying customer and did not receive any incentives from the seller or manufacturer.
