The installation took a bit of time, but with watching the YouYube video and one of the clips left in the reviews, I managed to get it right almost straightaway. The only tip I'd pass on would be to make sure you don't attach the corners to the velcro too tightly, cause it will make it harder to open and close the window. I only attached it to three sides of the window, as the fourth side is airtight so I didn't want any faff with extra material. My window opens both ways (kiep-kantel for Dutchies) and the seal works pretty well. I can only use it one way now, but that's fine. If I want to close the window I have to make sure the zipper doesn't get stuck at the top, but I can still close it which is all I need really. I tested it with my aircon and it's great, barely any outside air gets in.

I was nervous trying to fit my portable aircon to an awning style window. This device made it easy. It works really well, letting the air vent out without letting any other air exchange. Only negative is the street noise penetrates the fabric, but the sound of the aircon covers most of that and it is worth it for the cool air! I just shut the window when not in use and leave the hoomee fully attached - ready for next time.
