Pmp® Examination Preparation for Pmbok® 5th Edition Paperback – April 22, 2013

The resource is not as robust as other resources but I realize that materials for the fifth edition are small in number as compared to the fourth edition. The test questions cover the basics but not very indepth

I purchased this book based on the writers' description that it reflects the changes for the fifth edition of the PMBOK guide. It does not. This is quite serious since this is supposed to be a preparation tool for the PMP exam of PMI. The discrepancies are particularly obvious in chapter 4 of the book that refers to project time management: There are questions there regarding "activity on arrow", which is a representational method that is abandoned since edition 3 of the guide (more than four years ago), also the representation used for "activity on the node" and does not follow all the notation suggested in the 5th edition.I teach project management and I intended to buy this book for my certification classes. However after I found the omissions I mentioned earlier I changed my mind.The book and questions in their majority are quite good. However the existence of mistakes and omissions is very serious matter for an exam preparation book, especially for a book that advertises these changes. In my opinion if the author proceeds with the necessary changes and corrections and produces a new version of the book it would be a very good value for money purchase and a good alternative to more expensive certification preparation books.

It was a preparation for the PMP Exam based on PMBOK 5. It really bring to summary view detailed enough to give you confidence for the exam.it is very good!
