how long does it take to fully charge the battery? Mine is showing two solid lines but the third has been flahing for hours.

Sorry, not sure excactly, but mine takes a few hours from being flat. But then I usually start a recharge once it's just on 1 light and I put it into a PC usb outlet. If yours still isn't charged after those few hours - maybe there's an issue with the battery.

Inside the black container, it says "18650 battery backup below" but the only item i have is the usb cable. is there something missing from my box?

I think this is just a space for a spare battery, in the box, as ours was empty too. the battery is inside the screw driver. These batteries can be purchased separately.

Can you disable the pushdrive when the switch is set to forward or reverse drive?
