Nice alternative to cocoa. With my hashimotos I have to avoid caffeine so that unfortunately means chocolate too for me. So thankful now to have carob! It doesn't taste quite like chocolate but its taste is quite close to milk chocolate when making hoy chocolate. I hope to use it in baking soon to get my chocolate cake fix, very excited!

Tastes great and would buy again only one ingredient

While it’s not cacao, it does have a sweeter taste than cacao. I enjoy cacao on its own but bought this to try limiting my caffeine intake. It looks identical to cacao powder, a tad lighter but texture is just as light. Super versatile for smoothies, baked goods, etc.

I expected this powder to be sweeter and more like chocolate or cocoa, but it was not! We wanted to use this as a healthier substitute for cocoa in our coffee lattes. Carob powder adds little sweetness and a strange flavor of its own to coffee but half carob and half cocoa tastes quite pleasant. We noticed that the carob powder can be difficult to dissolve and leaves quite a bit of sediment in the bottom of the cup unless you heat coffee to about 180'F or nearly boiling, so if you like to add milk, you might want to add that last. Thanks to the other reviewers that warned us about the "Resealable Bag" which is an accident waiting to happen. We suggest transferring some carob powder to a small condiment jar next to your cocoa and put a large binder clip on the top of the bag. Recently we tried sprinkling the carob powder on top of vanilla ice cream and it was delicious!

Good for a coffee alternative, though it's more like a hot coco than coffee. But that's ok

Good price, good quality - really not much more to say since it is what it is. Was looking for good quality carob powder at a reasonable price and that is what you get.

I make “chocolate milk” with the carob powder and rice milk for my 6 year old with eczema and food sensitivities. He loves this and could tell the difference when I switched brands.
