Nice box, but .....
Well, I finally bought the Ken Onion Work Sharp system and here's where our "box" adventure starts. Mind you, I've only had the thing about a week, and already Az wants me to evaluate the thing. I have to admit that I've yet to fire it up. So, the "system" looks great, and all I've done with it so far is sit down with the instructions and sort out how it all works. The above box was appealing enough to cause me to buy it. I particularly like the yellow racing stripe! The ad for the system showed no included storage option, so, the "Khanka Hard Travel Case Replacement for Work Sharp Knife & Tool Sharpener/Ken Onion Edition (yellow zipper), gets a ding for advertising itself as a replacement for something other than the cardboard box the system was shipped in. No biggie, semantics, but... not quite the way it is. Second issue was being directly contacted by the Khanka folks by text, wanting to know all sorts of things about the box. That whole thing looked a little dodgy, so I did not respond. Now to the box itself; It's of over-molded, semi soft/stiff , NOT hard material that appears (one week of sitting) to be well made, and that yellow stripe is killer! When I got the box and went to nest the system into it I discovered that if they had made it an inch or so taller, the body of the sharpener would have actually fit without having to fold the thing up a bit.Again, not a big deal, but a bit of a pain. Now that I actually had the sharpener and the box to go by, I can see that all the photos of storage boxes show the sharpener in the folded position. This would not be apparent if you were unfamiliar with all the parts. No mention of this in the promo info that I can find. All boxes made by the same factory?Beyond that, there is a mesh area in the lid where it is demonstrated that one can store spare belts. That works fine. I got a box of each of the spare belts, except for the really coarse one. So, with the folded up sharpener, the three sets of belts, sans the boxes, and the instructions, zipping the Khanka case was kind of like trying to zip up an overstuffed suitcase. Doable, but IF they had made or sourced the thing just a tad larger in all dimensions, it would really work well. Oh, and the sharpener has to be placed in the box only one way, or the roller on the sharpener will crush into the belts under the storage mesh. As it is, were I to get a replacement, I would look elsewhere. This would be great for something a tad smaller than the KO system.

Good looking unit that gets the job done...sort of.
My Work Sharp tool came with a nylon zipper bag that was about an inch and a half too small. Well, the folks at Khanka are a little weak in the measuring dept. also. This hard case is also too small. Over time I'll see if there are any issues resulting in having to tightly bend the power cord to make it all fit.

Not A Good Case For the Work Sharp
My Work Sharp doesn't fit in this case well. The length is too short and causes the power cord to have to be bent at a sharp angle. The case doesn't allow for the full height of the tool. The photo on Amazon doesn't show the case closed 0 because it want. Not a good case for this tool.

Fits my KO Work Sharp Nicely
Although I have to disassemble the KOWS to make it fit, all of the pieces fit in nicely with room for my spare belts and spare rest in a nice, compact case. Only thing I do not like is that the zipper opens away from the handle so that I feel like I am carrying it upside down, and if the zipper were to ever fail everything would be on the ground. Since the case mostly sits on the shelf it is probably OK, just my preference. Honestly, a nicer case than the one from Work Sharp (I have both).

Good, Sturdy Case for My Ken Onion Work Sharp
A sturdy case that fits my sharpener. It seems well made. I gave it four starts instead of five because I have to remove the triangular sharpening wheel off in order to put it in the case and close it. This is the only change I would recommend to the manufacturer. Otherwise, a good case.
