Yes! McRae was an original Prime Contractor to the Department of Defense for jungle boots beginning in 1967. The styles in this category are still made as close to the original specifications as possible utilizing materials and components of US origin in our factories in North Carolina. These boots span theaters from jungles to mountains to deserts beginning in the mid-1960s and are still worn by many active duty personnel today in the Coyote color (style 8190). They are Berry amendment compliant and meet AR670-1 (style 8190). This group is made utilizing original manufacturing tooling and methods whereby the iconic Panama sole is vulcanized to the upper part of the boot. McRae operates its footwear manufacturing facilities in 2 locations in the Mt. Gilead, NC area. Our original factory is located in a school building where our founder attended school probably not imagining that he’d acquire the property later in life, thus, making it the future home of McRae Footwear. As the business grew, we outgrew the original factory building and added on to our second facility, in nearby Troy, NC, taking it to 100,000 sq. ft. This was done to supplement a growing demand from the U.S. DoD and commercial marketplace. The new facility is where we house the new direct attach injection mold equipment for the manufacturing of current-spec military boots. As explained above, we have been at this for over a half a century. Along this path, we’ve learned a good bit about making durable and reliable critical footwear for our troops. Our boots are designed to help you fulfill missions and we are honored to have earned your trust and confidence in our products as you carry out those missions.

Review: Good quality and fit. - These fit me good. I got a size 9 E, and I have enough room for insols and wool socks. They are a bit rough inside on the wool socks, so I advise better insols than what comes with the boot. I've had these for a few weeks and they are still breaking in but I don't wear them every day. You'll have some breaking in but they are good boots and they seemed to fit better than Altama, which seem to always run too long. For classic style and durability, it's a good buy. This is all subjective to me, but I've tried Altama and McRae, and the only reason I chose these is that they were available in the size I need, and fit really good. I suggest you go down a size or even a size and a half. Buy two sizes and try them both and send back the ones you don't want.
Review: Great Boots - These boots (olive drab) remind me of the jungle boots that I was issued back in my military days. Well made right here in the USA. They do run big as is typical. I wear a 9W and I ordered down one whole size (8W) per the instructions and they fit perfectly. Just a little extra room for my toes when wearing boot socks. I wear these all day at work and they are very comfortable. I didn't even have to change out the insoles. I hope they last as long as my original pair did. The only thing that I will do to these boots is rub down the canvas with Otter Wax and give the leather a coat of black polish. A few points of interest: 1 - These do not have the spike protection that the original boots had. 2 - No Goodyear Welt so resoling them may be a challenge. 3 - 2 pairs of eyelets at the bottom and 5 pairs of speed laces at the top make them a bit easier to put on.

High quality jungle Boots just like you get in the Marines, only problem is they are pretty tight in the instep getting them on once they're on they fit great.
