This painting is acrylic latex on canvas, 43"x 19" framed. I painted the frame a shabby chic faux technique. I wanted to express the "power within" in this painting. The self-confidence, the positive self-talk that we all experience within our own private thoughts. To discover, through painting, that moment of pure elation! Even if just a brief fleeting second, it's there, the joy! I first painted the background with aqua, green and a faux of cobalt blue. Painted the textile pattern in Penelope's blouse.
