Great boots for comfortable walking or hiking
I needed a winter boot for walking on Minneapolis sidewalks which are often covered with compressed snow and/or ice. I do a lot of power walking and wanted a shorter boot that was warm, waterproof and offered excellent support -- this boot offers all those things. I tried many different brands, including Sorels which are very attractive but mostly lack ankle support. These were by far the most comfortable and best looking of the other brands I tried. I've never worn Salomon brand before, but my normal boot/athletic shoe size fits perfectly. They have a medium wide toe box and I can wear a medium cushy wool sock with them. The collar around the ankle fits me very well and does not feel like it's rubbing or annoying the back of my ankle at all. These will not keep you from slipping and falling on sheer ice -- you'd need studs for that -- but they offer excellent gripping and my feet feel very secure and snug in them without having the clunky, inflexible feel of some other winter boots. Great purchase, especially at a discounted price!!

Warm and light
I loved these boots and it was very difficult to decide to keep them or not. They were very comfortable, light and warm. Perfect for winter hiking, but I wanted something more versatile for cold and not so cold hikes. Ended up returning, but if used just for cold weather they were perfect.

Great Boots!
I read other reviews before I purchased these boots. The size is accurate. I did purchase a half size larger so that I could wear smart wool heavier socks, perfect. Also very comfortable, these boots absorb the shock while walking 3.5 miles which is important to me also. Very comfortable boot, would purchase again.

Works with my Morton's Neuroma
I needed a lace-up boot in a suede material that had a wide toe box and narrow heel. These boots work with my orthotics and fit beautifully. I have a B width foot but needed a bit more room so that my toes do not feel crowded.I wore them around the house for a few days to give my feet a chance to really feel the fit!

Great product- very pleased
I bought them for my wife for our winter trail walking— so far she has been very happy with them. She says the shoes are comfortable and they have been keeping her feet warm. I’m thinking I should get a pair for me now ...

Good boot but not if you need a wide toe bed
I liked the boots but ended up returning them since they were too narrow for me.

STIFF and TIGHT at ankle. Impossible to walk in.
At ankle way too tight and STIFF. No give. Painful to walk. I had to return.

Viel zu klein
Ich trage normalerweise 37-38, diese Schuhe musste ich in 39 2/3 nehmen, damit auch meine orthopädischen Einlagen hineinpassen. Jetzt passen sie wie angegossen.Sie sind schön, stabil und wurden schon ausgiebig bei jedem Wind und Wetter getestet. Die Qualität ist genau wie von Salomon erwartet sehr gut. Beim Wandern etc. halten sie bei niedrigen Temperaturen wirklich gut warm, wenn man allerdings länger in der Kälte steht oder sitzt, versagt auch hier das Futter und die Füße werden eiskalt. Dafür gibt es zum Glück Thermoeinlagen...Die Schnürung gefällt mir gut, da oft die Schnürsenkel von Salomon sehr rutschig sind und diese dann ständig aufgehen. Das ist hier nicht der Fall.Ich würde sie wieder kaufen, würde mir allerdings wünschen, dass sie noch kältebeständiger wären.

Perfectas botas de montaña y también para ciudad
Producto genial calidad/pvp. Aconsejo Salomon ha sido una marca referente y el producto no decepciona. Total aislamiento de agua, frío y nieve. Recomiendo coger una talla más por los calcetines de invierno, son ligeras y muy cómodas. Las volvería a comprar sin duda ;)

Guter Halt, tolle Sohle
Sehr warm, der Fuß findet guten Halt und die Sohle sorgt für guten Gehkomfort. Es "federt" sehr schön ab.Ich habe Grösse 41,5 und mir passt die Grösse 42. Normalerweise habe ich aber in Schuhen 42 mehr Spielraum vorne. Diese Schuhe hier passen perfekt, ich brauche nicht mehr Platz. Ich denke ich kann empfehlen, 1 Grösse grösser zu bestellen.Alles in allem seit Langem eines der bequemeren Paar Schuhe, welche ich gekauft habe.

tolle Qualität
der Salomon Schuh ist genau so wie beschrieben, super bequem und winterlich warm. Sehr angenehm war für mich, dass der Verkäufer mich nochmals telefonisch kontaktiert hatte um über die Schuhgröße zu sprechen. Danke nochmals für das sehr freundliche und hilfreiche Gespräch. Der Schuh passt perfekt und ich kann ihn--auch speziell,wenn man einen etwas breiteren Fuß hat sehr gut weiter empfehlen
