Sound Storm Laboratories EX369 6 x 9 3 Way Car Speakers, 300 Watts Per Pair

A $32 set that’s better than stock, what more could you ask for? Once I wired them I turned on the radio to make sure they worked, before mounting them fully back in. Sounded like a tin can, I was upset and about to return them. A friend of mine told me to mount them because they need a sealed vacuum to work right. Wouldn’t you know, that was it. They sound awesome.

These were such an improvement for the value to my camper sound quality. I had no idea the stock speakers were so terrible. These were such a good buy for the quality of sound you receive. I recommend these.

For the price, they’re great speakers. Don’t put a lot of power to them, don’t turn your 250hz and below up too much and they will be cripsy. These are not subwoofers, these are NOT subwoofers, I repeat… THESE ARE NOT SUBWOOFERS. 😂 Idk why everyone is complaining about bass, this is not a pair of JL c3’s that are $280/pair. Even those JL’s will not give you more bass than a single 8” $40 sub…. Regardless, turn your 800hz+ up, no bass boosters, set them around 75watts each, and you’ll be happy. I’d say these would be great for getting a soggy system a bit crispier, and louder. They’ll get loud, but they will not shake the mirror. Pair it with something that’ll compensate the mid-low range like a SQ sub. This is Subwoofer off at the start, then I turn on two JL 12s. Both Sub, and Speakers are on older Hertz amps so bear with me. 😂 I could see 4 of these being amazing in a car, or a few of them in a boat that needs to get loud to keep up with a serious subwoofer setup.

Before I start my review of the Sound Storm Labs EX369 6x9 3-way car speakers I would like to say KUDOS to the reviewer who said..."Sounded crisp and clear, anyone who says otherwise either installed wrong or doesn't know what they're talking about." Normally I dismiss a comment like that but something inside me told me that he was right on. At fifteen bucks a pair...what the heck...I pulled the trigger on Amazon Smile. I'm so glad I did! The overall packaging of the product is impressive as are the speakers themselves. Included are eight screws and sheet metal nuts along with a 6x9 template if needed and gorgeous grills plus the two POS & NEG pigtails normally included with car speakers. Before I go any further...let's clearup the specs as they are wrong on many sites. The FREQUENCY RESPONSE is 50Hz to 20KHz + or - 3db. The SENSITIVITY is 92 db. The sound quality when properly installed is such that these specs seem to be accurate...more accurate than competing gear that do not indicate the PLUS or MINUS 3db in their specs. The woofer material is polypropylene NOT paper. The Pioneer 6x9 tri-axes that these replaced seemed to be made of paper as they easily crumbled at the slightest touch over time. I installed these in the rear deck of a '96 Camry LE using a pair of 3/4" mdf black carpeted spacers. Anyone who has had the rather frustrating experience of working on a Toyota rear deck knows that the existing mounting holes are way too recessed for proper tweeter sound. The end result was that I was able to easily access the 6x9s while using the supplied grills which are much better looking I think than the tan Toy ones. I'll post some pics here soon. These are great looking and sounding speakers for the money. You could easily spend up to fifty bucks a pair for competing models by Pioneer, Cerwin-Vega, Boss, JVC, Kenwood and others without getting appreciably better sound. In fact I would say you'd have to spend about $70 for a pair of Rockford Fosgates to do better. The speakers also have a very noticeable break-in period whereas they keep going deeper and opening up during initiation. THEY JUST KEEP SOUNDING MORE AMAZING EVERYDAY!!! Now I've installed car stereos for 45 years ...YES...I'm an old-timer 4 sure...LOL. but never have experienced this quality even remotely close to this price. You actually start to feel the bass while experiencing superb mids and highs...all with just a modest aftermarket radio. The speakers are well-constructed and I see no reason why you cannot run them off a high-powered remote amp but take care to UPGRADE the supplied pigtails to H.D. ones when doing so. Either way...you'll get a well-balanced sounding stereo capable of very good detail. Take care when installing. Just because they are only $15 don't treat 'em like cheap garbage. Take your time and think things out. These would certainly make great gifts for family and friends. KUDOS to Sound Storm Labs for offering such a great product for a reasonable price!!! This is the worst pair of speakers I've ever purchased in my entire life And I've bought a lot of speakers. These look andvsound like speakers you would expect to find ond a child's toy battery powered car. Like a Barbie battery convertible, with exception of a Barbie car's speakers would be built 100 times better than this crap! These are just absolutely recycled soup cans and shredded cigarettes. Just trash! I am just disgusted with these These claim to be rated at 300 watts maximum. The magnets on these could not generate 10 watts If you connected these to a 100 watt amp. It would shredded the cones at 1/4 of turn on the volume. I have a degree in electronics engineering and I am easily able to make sndvstanf by every clame I have made, Amazon needs to immediately refund me. Take this junk back distroy it. And NEVER SELL ANOTHER PIECE THIS TRASH AGAIN!

They produce sound, they are the cheapest on amazon in this size and bought them to replace the blown speakers in a car I bought to flip

Not great quality.. the tweeters on 1 6x9 was broke off. Technically I only needed 1 6x9. So it worked out for my situation.

Las compre para reemplazar unas Pioneer TS-A6908 200W lo que le llaman "Old School" con un peso se 2.5 Kg cada una y con un enorme Iman, desgraciadamente despues de 30 años dejaron de sonar con la clarisad que las caracterizaba, Cuando recibi mi nuevo par de bocinas SSL la verdad dude ya que entre las 2 bocinas no alcanzan a pesar 1 kg. y el iman con el que cuentan es una broma comparado con el de las Pioneer. Las instale y para mi sorpresa el sonido es bastante bueno, realmente no creo poder encontrar bocinas con esta calidad de sonido por $650 MX $31 US Si lo que buscas es buen sonido al mas bajo costo esta es una excelente opcion!
