Great high bright monitor for everyday use in the sun!
It's my new favorite monitor. I use it at work every day and it's even made some of my co workers jealous. We are used to using high end equipment and this is a great addition at a fraction of the price! Definitely needs the cage housing around it so damage isn't a risk.

High brightness and resolution, but with major issues
I purchased the Portkeys HS7T II to use as a follow focus monitor. It's very bright at 1200nits, suitable for outdoors. It has a built in dummy NP battery to mount wireless receivers. This is an incredible feature that removes the need for another arm or clamp and one of the main reasons I purchased.Unfortunately, the unit I received has a bad dummy NP on the back. I tried with two receiver brands and neither could power when connected to the dummy battery. I was able to get a replacement directly from Amazon but the new monitor has the same problem. No power comes through the NP mount on the back. Waiting on a response from the manufacturer.Pros:1. Sturdy metal casing2. High brightness works outdoors3. Fine resolution, great for focusing4. Nato rail built in for a strong connection to armsCons:1. Lack of touch screen interface. There are a lot of menus to cycle through and you'll need to get used to them to quickly access certain features. While it's a more recent convenience, other monitors at lower price points offer it.2. Dummy NP battery on the back of the monitor did not work on either of the two diff units checked.3. The two NP slots on the back don’t lock into place, so they could fall out or be pushed out accidentally. This seems to be a major oversight in the design.Provided you can accept the downsides and the power out to the dummy NP is resolved; If you're coming from cheap plastic Feelworld or Lilliput monitors, despite the cons, this feels like a step up and may be worth the extra cost.If you've had the joy of working with a SmallHD 703, I'd argue that this could satisfy you just as well depending on your needs.

Buyer Beware!
This Monitor Glitches when you use the Pocket 4k camera with it, dropped frames and the image was stuttering, tried different cables, power solutions etc. it happened during recording and playback. and the pocket 4k only outputs a 1080p signal. not sure if i had a defective unit or not but i sent it back

First 7 in monitor and am very pleased!! Great value.
This is the first 7 inch monitor I’ve purchased after having using the SmallHD FOCUS and 502 5 inch monitors. I was skeptical at first about the HS7T monitor but it exceeded my expectations and was glad with the purchase. I use this monitor on my Ursa Mini Pro G2 and was glad that the HS7T kit cane with a D-Tap Cord to power the monitor straight from the V-mount battery on the back of my camera. If you need a big monitor on camera to pull focus, compose shots for composition, and also can be used as a monitor on a stand for clients. This is the monitor to get for its daylight viewable brightness and size. One thing to note is that it does not come with the batteries that you can attach to the back of the monitor. You’ll have to buy that separate. Just get some anton bauers and you’re set for all fay shooting.

Best budget monitor for a 7” screen!
I tested the Feelworld and Bestview 7” against this one and I have to say I’m surprised at how much sharper the image looks. I was hoping to get the SmallHD 7” but this one is good enough for the price to pull focus. I just wish they would have included a DC power cable to power, however the included D Tap is appreciated.
