No more cat feces in garden
Update It took three plus days to get rid of my neighbors cats comming into our garden. This was costing us money to replace rubber mulch, flowers, and time on weekends to take back our garden. Bird X helped. The suggested frequency was not working for cats. My husband suggested to turn the frequency up high and it worked. You saved our garden. We were thinking about removing our garden and replace with concrete. We live on a cul de sac up on a hill and downhill. However, passers decides to let their dogs poop without scooping it up, we have signs with a camera pointed directly in that area. We bought another one and hid in our hedges and dogs and their owners keep moving. We love animals and don't mind if your dog have to go but its done on private property so have decency to scoop the poop. However, we don't own any pets, so its time consuming and costing us to clean after owners pets. We put down signs and its not neighborly.

garbage
Absolute junk. Went through the range of frequencies. Seems the only thing that avoided these was my neighbor's cat. for something that's supposed to be silent. My neighbors were complaining about the noise. The high frequency makes a high audible pitch. In the low frequency makes a clicking noise. I well within the return window. But I already threw out the boxes and stuff.

Works Well with Cats and Raccoons; Squirrels not so much!
I had a problem with multiple animals in my front and back yards: * The neighbors' cats loved making a litter box out of my front yard and came nightly to do their business. * Raccoons traveled through my back yard, as if they owned the place, and left their smelly and dangerous poop in my back yard. * Squirrels ran gleefully across my front and back lawns burying the goober peanuts and walnuts that my neighbor faithfully provided to them to keep them coming to his backyard. I was desperate for a solution so I started buying multiple motion-detected ultrasonic devices over the past several years. Of the different brands that I've purchased, the solar-powered Bird-X Solar Yard Guards have been the most reliable. They aren't as fancy as some of the other devices that you'll find on Amazon that include loud audible noises and flashing red lights but I've found that the Bird X are the most reliable. (Most of the other brands malfunctioned or stopped working altogether after a limited period of use.) If you have a decent size area to cover (as I did), you'll need to purchase multiple devices and position them so several devices are always going off at one time over the area that you want to protect. I call these zones Animal Annoyance Zones; they don't harm the animals but they annoy the heck out of them when multiple devices are going off at the same time. So, I'll give you the good news first. Here's what HAS worked with the Bird-X Solar Yard Guards: * They quickly annoyed the neighbors' cats that used to come into my yard — so much so, that now the cats avoid my yard completely. They literally will walk on the sidewalk or in the street in front of my house to avoid coming onto my property. I'm happy to report that my front yard is no longer the neighborhood litter box! * The raccoons took some time. (What can I say raccoons are stubborn beasts!) The raccoons would come through my yard and initially be startled by the strobe lights and then move away from my yard. Later, they would come back and investigate the devices to try and determine what they were and then quickly move through my yard to another location. I found that putting a motion detection device that flashed red lights at night with the Bird X Solar Yard Guards eventually drove the raccoons from my yard. They seemed to have gotten tired of dealing with all the audio frequency and flashing light activity. Now, the bad news! Here's what HAS NOT worked with the Bird-X Solar Yard Guards: * They are useless on squirrels (even when I used the recommended frequency which is different from the frequency for cats and raccoons)! I still have goober peanut shells all over my yard. Yesterday, I went through my front yard and found the neighborhood squirrels literally dug holes in front of several of my Bird-X devices. Clearly, the squirrels appreciated me putting these landmarks out for them so they can locate their buried nuts in the future! So, there you have it: if you're willing to buy multiple devices and position them correctly, these devices can work on some animals. However, if you're using these devices to drive Bullwinkles' friend - Rocky - out of your yard, Rocky is probably not going away anytime soon.

Ducks were leaving nightly droppings on our sidewalk - not anymore!
As far as I can tell this is working great! We have various ducks and geese who live in and around the neighborhood. A few weeks ago a couple of ducks must have discovered our walkway leading up to the front door and ever morning we were waking up to generous “gifts” in the way of massive bird dumps! We had to pressure wash the sidewalk multiple times because it would stain - and smelled awful. We set this out right next to where they were frequenting and haven’t had a single sign of the birds ever since. The first couple of nights we did also cover the specific area of sidewalk with cardboard and added some other items to slightly block the space. That may have helped break their routine as well.

Didn’t scare or apparently even annoy the skunks…
You can see by the blue light on the front of the camera that the unit is currently blasting its annoying noise, and the skunk is unaffected, happily standing there eating sunflower seeds that were dropped by the birds. The noise is audible and piercing, and my dog and I were unhappy about my decision to turn it on in the house after installing the batteries, but it did not have the desired effect with regard to the skunk problem we are experiencing. The skunks come in from the right, and are blasted with the starting at least 8-12 feet before where the stinky bugger stands in the picture, and he ambled up to within 2 feet of the unit before tucking in and helping himself to a quick meal. I’ll keep watching, but I think this was an expensive failure. Next, I’ll the motion-activated sprinkler. We’ll see if we have any better success with that. If you decide to try this on your own, the instructions warn you not to aim it into neighboring yards, public areas, or caged or leashed animals. I believe this is sage advice - it’s loud and irritating, just not to skunks. ---- I was feeling bad about giving it such a low score, so I turned the unit up all the way and was hoping for better the following evening. At 10pm I checked out the camera and a huge skunk was there completely unaffacted by the sound. I was still dressed, so I ran out and grabbed the hose and shot the smelly dude from 30 feet away or so, and he ran faster than I have ever seen a skunk move. So in spite of my regret for givnig a low rating to this product, the low rating was well earned. 9/27: We were surprised that the raccoons actually were chased off by the noise. So I upped my review - the skunks were our target for this, but we don’t want the raccoons almost as much, so good on the yard Guard.

Low Cost and Don't WORK!
We have motion detection cameras everywhere, and at night the deer are unimpeded by these devices. They're inexpensive, so I gave them a try. After multiple weeks of observation, clearly this is not the product for me. You make up your own minds. The most effective repellants are reportedly predator urine, such as bobcat or coyote. These products "are available" but must be re-applied. Other repellants include fencing, motion-detection water devices, and such. Everything's expensive. If you have white-tailed, deer, they will even eat "deer resistant" and "poisonous" shrubs, only to waunder off and vomit the contents somewhere. Bottom line: open wallet and install high fencing according to taste and budget.

Funciona!!!
