Review: Egg Timer - At last a reliable timer , a bit pricy but does an excellent job, I like soft boiled and this timer is great
Review: Does the job! - I love this thing. I tend to set my eggs to cook and forget about them and then have literally zero idea how long they've been cooking. This thing saves me from under cooked eggs, and warns me when I've overcooked them, and if I actually pay attention helps me get the absolute Perfect boiled eggs. The one I got the colouring is a bit off center but that doesn't prevent it from doing its job. It took me a few tries to figure out what level is exactly what I want in an egg. I find if I take them out when there's just the slightest hint of red in the middle its fully cooked, maybe even a little over cooked by the time you douse them in the ice bath but not to the point of being green or overly dry. I've never tried but I feel like if you took them out when it was in the soft boiled area, the whites wouldn't be fully set. Overall, it works exactly the way it needs to, but the eggs are a little more done than you might expect.
