DC Sports Short Ram Intake For Use With (12-15 Honda CIVIC SI/13-15 Acura ILX 2.4L)

Boy oh boy !! Let me tell you the sound this gives you over stock is insane . My si feels like it just got a set of new legs it wants to race everything it sees now . I used YouTube for install so it took me no time . No cel codes . The look is great and you can feel the air flow more freely. It fits like a glove too

First of all Let me explain that I have barely any basic mechanical knowledge when it comes to vehicles. However, installing this intake on my 2013 civic Si was as simple as can be. Everything done to remove parts and install this intake is very easy, fast and all you need is a little bit of common sense. The process itself took approximately 30 to 45 minutes with a few "duh" mistakes made. After the intake was done and I took it for a short test drive to get a feel of the car I noticed that now my car REALLY wants to go and it wants to go quick. It's as if some mods were done to make the car feel like a race car (In my opinion that is) and I love it. The sound isn't as noticeable until you get it on 2nd gear (manual transmission of course) and even though it isn't a huge throaty sound, it does make it sound a bit more aggressive which I love. For this being such a simple and easy upgrade on my car, I have to say that it is a really noticeable and positive upgrade for not a whole lot of money. I highly recommend people buying this air intake for your 13 civic Si and I couldn't be happier to have it in my car.

Please read before buying! First off, I like this intake. It simple, easy to install, provides an awesome aftermarket sound and just all and all a solid intake. However, there is one major flaw with the kit that dang near paralyzed my car for a couple of weeks before I found the issue. The kit comes with a flexible coolant hose to replace a hard line that connects the throttle body to the coolant splitter directly off the driver side of the engine. The issue that I ran into was that this short piece of hose is of such poor quality that it was allowing air into my coolant system and causing an overheating problem. At first I thought it may have been a failing thermostat, so I replaced the thermostat and flushed the system fully. Drove the car for three days without issue. Back to work Monday morning and I had no heat inside the car and it was spilling coolant from the overflow reservoir. I decided to go to Advance Auto and rent a coolant system pressure tester. Hooked this up to the car and found that said piece of coolant hose was literally bubbling coolant and air bubbles out of the ends of the hose from the threads within the casing of the hose itself. The hose clamps were tight, the leak was not coming from the connections, just a poor quality hose. I replaced the hose, purged all the air from the heater core, flushed, filled, retested, and so far have not had another issue and this has been about 3 weeks now. Please do yourself a favor and go to the parts store and buy a 2 dollar piece of quality heater hose to keep from ruining your engine. I don’t understand why this company went so cheap with what is already a cheap component.

Fit well and sounds great but on the inside part of the tube was a weld that was balled up and protruding, surprisingly a lil bump like that actually does make a difference and if you know cars, you’ll notice. Great product overall and it comes with everything you need

Easy to install. Didnt come with 2 hose clamps for PCV but evetything else is included. L bracket for mounting doesnt line up but it honestly not needed. It is very sturdy without it. Sounds great! No CEL!

Adds a lot of noise which is fun. There’s a slight dip in the powerband now but I haven’t got a tune so it’s probably fixable. Feels like I lost mid but gained up top and sounds amazing.

So easy a caveman could do it!

Great intake that’s super simple to install. My one complaint is that I was missing one of the rubber fittings. Luckily I was able to work around not having it with one I already had.

Great short ram intake. I was going to get a k tuned one but there was no stock for months. Someone suggested this one, so I got it. I was going to buy right from DC Sports website, but their price was higher and paid shipping. Where this one was ~250$CAD with free shipping. Good deal. This one would get more hits if they had it labelled correctly on Amazon though. When I put my car in, a 2015 Si, it says not compatible. Yet the 2014 is, and it has the same engine.. When I received the package the instructions correctly state "2012-2015 Si fitment". This may be something the manufacturer will want to fix on their Amazon product page. Anyway, super good written instructions came with the package. Can also youtube instructions, very typical install. Unlike other people's comments, I used the tubing that came with the SRI for the small modifications you need to make with the coolent lines. I've had no issues thus far. NO engine lights. Awesome intake!

Fast delivery and easy install, good quality also nice sound from under the hood now. To early to tell if I will see the gains described in the add… but happy so far.

Was suggested to replace the hoses that came with this , for stronger ones. We did. Works great !! East to install.
