Halloween Decor Dripless Taper Candles 12" Inch Tall Wedding Candle Set of 12 … (Black)

So I was really excited to get these because I love the color. I purchased because they claim to be dripless unfortunately they are not. Color is great thought. I got the sand color.

I ordered these for a candelabra that I have in my Halloween decorations. As others have said, there was a pretty strong odor (like cheap crayons) when I opened the box. I was a little worried about that but I figured I would let them sit for a day or two. I did and now that I put five in my candelabra, I don't notice the smell. (It is noticeable if I put my face right up next to them, but they sit in the middle of our dining table so this isn't an issue with reasonable use). I lit these candles for our Halloween party two weeks ago. They burned for about 6 hours and we didn't have any drips. There was about four inches left to each candle so we've just been lighting them during dinner each night this week and they've burned down to about two inches in height. Finally just last night one of the candles developed some little drips on the side. It hasn't totally melted and dripped all over the place, though. I'm pretty happy with them overall. Obviously, if you are burning them for longer than 5-6 hours you might get drips. I also placed a black paper doilie under my candelabra just in case we did get drips. Overall, I would buy them again!

I like to always have boxes of candles on hand for parties and special decorative occasions. Like wise I have a collections of assorted groups of candle holders. So I can whip a decorative center piece or mantle decoration with a simple addition of some ribbon on hand and even a stuffed reindeer, Easter Bunny, Valentine Chocolates, water glasses with colored marbles and colored waters, fruits and vegetables, whatever. The collecton of candles, sometimes in multipe colors is what makes it....some gold or white beads or set on a tray or foiled paper. The possibilities for quick, novel and inexpensive without troubling with fresh flowers is endless!

The candles come in a flimsy white box. Not what’s advertised. The candles are not properly sized and are too small for the candle holders. You have been warned!!

I couldn't be happier with these! I bought them, hoping to find a long-lasting, truly dripless candle for an anniversary party I was throwing. I didn't want to have to man the candles and check them constantly, and also did not want to ruin the tables and tablecloths by making a mess all over them with melted wax. I tested these out when I first got them and, after burning for over two hours, there is not a single drip of wax on the candle and they look exactly as they did when they first started burning… They burn very evenly and they last a very long time. They look elegant and simple and go with any Decor… From rustic to sophisticated they are perfect for what I need and I would recommend them to anyone

These candles ARE "drip-less". Not sure about some of the reviewers.Some reviewers have (correctly) mentioned that "moving air" - or "drafts" - can cause ANY candle to "drip".Correct-a-mundo !!This ain't rocket science folks . . .+IF+ you have ANY heating source in a room (baseboard - forced hot air - etc) there is MOVING air (as in "UP").+IF+ you have windows that aren't VERY well insulated, you will have moving air (as in "DOWN").This, folks, is called "moving air".- - and a BLOW TORCH will "drip" !!Bottom line - these candles are beautifully made - they do NOT drip - and are very good value for the price.

Beautiful color and candles look great. I have not yet burned any, but I like this particular orange color because it will work at Halloween and the Fall. The packaging needs improving...very flimsy. My candles were everywhere except in the box...glad none was damaged.A few weeks later: I have now burned some of these candles and can highly recommend them. They are truly dripless and burn beautifully!I am updating my review to "OK" because I have found these candles to lack good quality control. They are different diameters...some fit just perfectly inside the candle holder but others are smaller in diameter and have to be bolstered by a lot of that sticky stuff. This is potentially unsafe...you have to make an extra effort to ensure the candle won't fall out of the candle holder.

Beautiful candles! Loved the color and were completely dripless. My only complaint is that they did not come in the box shown in the picture. If you were to gift them the box would be disappointing.
