Turns out I had strep. He had me gargle with a 1:1:1 mixture of Alkolol, Hydrogen Peroxide, and distilled water. It was fizzy, and gross. He told me NOT to swallow it, else I'd throw up. He also treated my high fever. I gargled for three days in a row, but I did not feel like I had strep after the first day. I've used Alkalol ever since. I've never missed work due to strep. And my kids (4 step; 1 born to me) were cured of strep every time by this mixture. I also rinse my mouth guard in it, to this day (have TMJ; sleep with a mouth guard).
