High quality

The 33 gauge on this lancet works great on the "sweet spots" of my cat's ears. I use the Abbott Freestyle lancet device on the first setting. Occasionally it seems the needle is a bit shorter and I have to increase the setting to 1 1/2 but otherwise 1 typically works perfectly. My cat will barely flinch now being a fairly new diabetic and I doubt it was ever due to the prick but rather the sound of the lancet device upon engaging it. Be sure to carefully twist the top off to expose the needle, though. It's super easy to bend or break off.

It’s so hard to find 26g lancets now. Can’t find this size in any store anymore. My cat is diabetic and hard to get blood using any size smaller. These work great but double the price of other sized lancets and take a while to get to you. Still trying to find an alternative because of price and shipping times. We use at least 2-3 a day so we go through them fast.

As someone who has lived with diabetes 2 for many years, I test my blood sugar about twice a day.
