Bought as a gift for friend who had open heart surgery. Thought this would great for his younger grandkids to use and think that it helps Grandpa to regain his strength by them touching it. He is re cooperating nicely and the kids cant wait to visit him daily.

Lighting sprites in my room!
I've always liked these Tesla Lamps and always wanted one, I bought this to satify that itch, ands was thrilled to see it working just as described... That was until I saw some video online of other Tesla Lamps, with much cooler effects. No I feel cheated. 😆Joking aside, the lamp works wonderfully and is tons of fun, my cat loves it as well. A very good buy, for the 30 something dollar cost.

Glass not tinted & top-heavy
There is no tinting what-so-ever of the globe as the listing photos would lead you to believe. It is a nice plasma/static globe but is more top heavy than I would care to allow left in a child's room. Does respond well to music played but I've found you need to 'tap' the globe to kick start it so it isn't going off at the slightest noise. As a side note when the globe is running there is the smell of O-zone, so any sensitivities should be cautioned.
