I bought four of these based on reviews and they are worth every penny of the five stars I’m giving. I have been battling drugstore beetles at my house for almost 5 years. I have done absolutely everything that you can possibly think of to try and get rid of these bugs. I’ve replaced all the carpets in my house with hardwood. I’ve had my house professionally cleaned I can’t even tell you how many times. I have pest control in here, trying to help me all the time. There’s just been no end to it. I have three dogs and three cats and four different kinds of dry food I’m working with. I had containers, but they were not airtight. These containers are airtight. There is no assembly and they come assembled. The material is really thick and durable. I like how the outside has this cute paw print design too. Since I moved the food into these containers, I’ve noticed at least a 50% reduction in the amount of beetles I’m seeing. I’m about to go on and buy more the next time I get paid because I cooked rice for the dogs and I need an airtight container for that and for some other things around the house and these are amazing. I recently purchased this for my dog's food, and we are really happy with how it is performing. Pros: 1. Airtight seal: - our house/closet doesn't smell like a pet store - it locks in the dog food odor like a champ - keeps the food fresh - with a picky dog this is a must 2. Keeps cat (pests?) out - my dog would likely describe my cat as a pest as she loves to try to sneak into the dog food. Unfortunately, her tummy doesn't tolerate it and it ain't pretty. Since getting this container, we haven't had any of these incidents. The lid locks tightly, making it impossible for animals to open. - if you have to store dog food somewhere that may be accessible to other pets or in a garage or somewhere where there might be pests, this is the container you want. 3. Durable and precise - the material seems durable and built to withstand a zombie apocalypse- not like the flimsy clear plastic containers. - it perfectly fits a 30lb bag of Purina Pro Plan sensitive skin and stomach for larger dogs, which is very convenient because that is what we buy! 4. Good product. Keeps food fresh. My only glitch is that it doesn't hold 35lbs of dog food. I buy a 33lb bag of Hills Science dog food and it doesn't hold the whole bag. I would recommend sizing up to the 50lb storage container. Better to have more space than not enough. I will say that this size container holds 22lbs of cat food perfectly.

This brand has always produced very high quality dog food storage containers, and I was not disappointed. It keeps kibble fresh & clean. And the containers themselves are very durable. The lid seals air tight so no debris, water, or oxygen get into it which prevents dog food from getting moldy. 10/10 product, highly recommended, will purchase again.

The first time I bought a Vittles Vault was not to keep rodents out of the food, but rather one of my dogs. I got up in the morning and that guy had enjoyed such a feast during the night I thought he was going to pop. After a discussion with the vet, it was determined that he was going to live, but that I needed a better storage option. I checked out all the containers Amazon had to offer and hit on the 50-pound capacity Vittles Vault. It was absolutely perfect. At that point in time I had two dogs on the same food, but now with one pup and an older dog, their diets are different. I decided to purchase another Vittle Vault of a lesser capacity. This Vittles Vault is more decorative with paws, a raised design, on all sides. It has sunken in handles all around so no matter which way I grab it I have a grip. It's ant and critter proof, something I really like. We do have a seasonal ant "crop" and they do enjoy dog food. The top spins shut, keeping the food very fresh. I don't believe these Vaults are meant to be stacked, but once I put the food in the smaller one, it was fine on top of my larger one. I'm a bit fan of Vittles Vaults and the high quality is definitely worth the asking price whether you are using them for dog food or bird seed. This is actually the best container for dog food ever made. It’s heavy-duty, the lid screws on and off easily, it keeps the food fresh and the smell contained, and it’s sturdy enough to add several different types of dry food in and then shake it around to mix it. The dog still sometimes refuses to eat, but that’s because he’s a stuck-up little prince of darkness, not because the container is anything other than incredible. If it were bigger I’d use it as a cubby house.

Great storage. Easily takes a 10kg sack of dog kibble and keeps it fresh. Sturdy, thick plastic and the lid is easy to close and open. Doesn't take up much room at all and much better, and neater, than leaving the food in the sack. I bought a plastic jug to keep in the container with the food and have no problem accessing the food. The cost put me off initially but the container should last many years so well worth it.
