I like these blankets and have now bought two. Yes, there is a wool smell but it's not strong and if it bothers you, just air the blanket. These are big enough for a 5'10" person to diamond wrap in them. Comfortable, warm and so far, hard wearing.

Yes it does smell of wet carpet and its rough against the skin so its not great for indoors . However , as an outdoor blanket its fantastic . Warm , tough, durable .

Nice quality blanket. Needs a wash when you first get it as it has a bad factory smell. Smells a little like petrol or grease

Super value product at around 30 bucks. The blanket is large, heavy and well edged. The only real issue with the blanket, out of the box, is the rather strong chemical smell. So I rinsed mine, flushed out what seemed to be a lot of dye. After drying it was fine.

An excellent low cost blanket. Good thickness and colour. After I received the first one I bought another.

Weird smell comming of it. Falls apart. Like a shedding animal. Pieces or tufts of wool evrywhere..

When I read the reviews, I was expecting to open the package, take a whiff, and return it. I was ready! Yet, when I opened the package, I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, if you put your nose to the fabric there is a chemical smell. But, IMHO, it is not overpowering. The blanket itself is nice and long, heavy, but a weight that is easily carried and stowed. This is a versatile item and well worth the money. One thing to note is the it is 70% wool and 30% synthetic.

Couverture pratique pour avoir dans le coffre de la voiture. Qualité moyenne, peu épaisse, avec 30% de fibres synthétique, le reste en laine recyclée. C'est quand même cher pour ce que c'est même si c'est toujours mieux qu'une banale polaire.
