I bought this POE extender to split one Ethernet port to two devices. The Ethernet port has POE (necessary to power the extender). The devices attached to this unit are not POE devices and work fine.

I used this device to split a 30W PoE+ link into two 15W PoE links to provide power and data to an Axis camera and an Ubiquiti access point. It worked exactly as expected. Normally, I would not design a new network around a device like this, but for an existing network it can be a real time saver. This device returned to normal operation after the switch was intentionally powered off and then back on. One might take this for granted, but there is a similar device being sold on Amazon (it is all white) which does not!

I bought one of these because I only ran one LAN cable to a TV location and realized I needed 2 connections - one for the smart TV and one for the TiVO box. I only used POE power to power this splitter. Both devices are just Ethernet and don’t require POE power. Cheaper than installing a switch and using another outlet. Seems to work fine. More stable connection than using the Wi-Fi for SmartTV. I want to keep Wi-Fi bandwidth free for phones, tablets and laptops.

I purchased several of these net splitters to use with 2 cameras. This is the first one that actually works. I started with a much more expensive unit and it probably would have worked but the unit I received was dead and never powered up. After that I tried several economical units and this Revotech is the first one that actually worked as advertised

Does not function. I tested it with multiple different cables to be sure.

Got it working

We purchased this for our business a few weeks ago. The product is awesome and performs as described but we are connecting two Cisco mk 44 aps and they max each about 11 watts intermittent but hang around 7 watts continuous. The extender is hot all the time and the aps are warm to the touch. Not sure if this is normal. But it does concern me.

These work very well in an appropriate application. I generally prefer to run individual, dedicated lines to each device, but in some circumstances it isn't practical. If you just need 10/100 PoE to two small devices and only have one run, these work fine if running another line would be overly burdensome. Observe the speed and power specifications and it will perform as advertised.

I bought this to try out and with the hope of saving my self a alot of work running a second cable. It works well but does need some extra configuration on the cameras and recorder. As it did not work as plug and play first time. For me this method worked using a Hikvision NVR a 2 4K cameras Plug camera 1 in only and assign a static IP then remove cam 1 and plug in cam 2 and assign static ip. Then you can plug both cameras back in and goto recorder. Turn off plug and play and select manual adding. fill in the IP address for cams one and two on your chosen channels and both should be displayed. At first I didnt do this and the images on the recorder kept switching between the two cameras possibly due to an IP conflict. Also the device just about fits in a 100x100x50mm junction box. But is quite tight so would recommend a larger box Cannot say how reliable it is because I have only just fitted it

Lo usé para poner una segunda cámara donde ya tenia una. Era una instalación donde tenia un video grabador y un switch poe en un extremo de un local, y había que colocar una cámara nueva en el otro extremo del local. Para no tener que llevar un nuevo cable hasta allí, puse el cable de la cámara que ya tenia de entrada en este extensor, y en las dos salidas, las dos cámaras, y voalá. Ahorré horas de trabajo. Y funcionó a la perfección.

Habe ein POE Kabel, das an einem POE Switch hängt und wollte auf zwei POE Kameras von Reolink 810 erweitern. Hat wunderbar und sehr einfach geklappt. Stecker mit Kabeln verbinden neue Kamera dran und in der Reolink app die Kamera noch hinzugefügt und swups hatte ich beide Bilder der Kameras auf dem Handy. Die Kameras bekamen auch automatisch eine eigene IP Adresse dynamisch zugeordnet.
