Q: Can you put some water between the inner and outer containers to freeze so it can chill the ice cream faster and keep it chilled while serving?

Sorry, no. I keep them in the freezer even when empty so they are always very cold and ready for my luscious keto friendly ice cream creations. 😋

Q: One of mine cracked. Is it still safe to use?

I would not want to as it will not retain the desired temp for the ice cream . If you just got it and arrived broken see about returning it?

These are made of a thick firm plastic not silicone. I hope this helps.
