BLACK+DECKER20V MAX* String Trimmer, Powercut, 22-Inch, (LHT321)

Used this to clear a third of an acre of 20 year old blackberry canes and small trees. 600 gallons of yard waste in total. Took about 8 hours, working at an easy pace. Could have cleared it in six hours if I was in a hurry. Battery lasts for about 40 minutes of continuous cutting. Power is constant until the battery is discharged. Easy to use, great reach, powerful, and lightweight even with the 2amp battery attached. Motor can run for over a minute under heavy load before needing a brief cool down. Great machine for the price. Love the interchangeable B&D battery system. Also have the weed/mower and chainsaw.

I have some massive jasmine hedges that were obscenely overgrown but impossible to trim with manual clippers. Being rather thick vines, I was worried that I would need a heavy duty (expensive) hedge trimmer - and even then I didn't know if the jasmine vines would be too much. Due to the fact that I have a bunch of other B&D 20V tools and the price was reasonable, I figured I would give this unit a shot -- wholly expecting to be underwhelmed and potentially disappointed. However, I ended up beyond pleasantly surprised!First off, this thing is SHARP -- like, please be insanely careful because I looked down in the middle of putting this together and there was blood everywhere -- turns out I accidentally must have let the blade touch a finger and it was such a razor-fine cut that I was completely unaware I had even injured myself. B&D really should provide a blade cover because while I admit this was completely my fault - it seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen. Beyond the minor injury, this thing just cut through those jasmine hedges like a hot knife through butter -- like, I was actually awestruck at how trivial it made the job seem. It also cut the entire 75' hedge on a single charge (with enough charge left for me to leaf blow my sidewalks, driveway, and patio off). Add this to the list of surprisingly effective B&D 20V Max tools - you really can't go wrong with this trimmer; I really don't know what else you could possibly get from any other more expensive consumer-focused hedge trimmers.

It’s kind of heavy and after a long cleaning yard your arms will be a little sore but so far so good we’re having it for more than a year a noComplain

It seems Back and Decker is stepping up their game. This is a decent quality tool at a fair price. I’ve used it to cut through some shrub branches that were indeed 3/4 inch thick, and had no problem. It’s light and well balanced - easy to use. The 20V battery has plenty of oomph to do what I need around my country house. This is way cheaper than a Dewalt, and it may fall apart next time I use it, but I’m giving it the benefit of the doubt so far. Very happy.

Works great. Batteries are excellent. Does its job. Interchange with pole saw & weed eater.

Great trimmer for the price. Bought the same one 5 years ago and the motor finally gave out so I bought another one.

Awesome for trimming liriope grass. Finally found a unit that not only trims the dead ends but can actually shape these sore leaves with ease

This is a great product and offers quality for the price. I have a number of Black and Dekker cordless tools and they always offer exceptional value for the cost. Trimmers offer good run time, durability, and can quickly cut through the toughest hedge.

Just got this tool the other day and tried it right away on overgrown shrubs. This tool is very easy to use, it's light weight and has lots of run time on single charge.I was very impressed with it and it compliments my other Black and Decker 20v blower and string trimmer.I compared this to others such as Dewalt but for what I needed the cost difference just wasn't justified and so I am pleased with this purchase.

This trimmer turned out to be better than I expected! Went a good solid half hour while I beat it up pretty bad. Cutting through many finger sized branches better than my older corded type. The on/off switch takes some getting used to but it's all about safety. This thing could easily take a finger off. All in all for a 20 volt machine, I'm pleased. Did all my cedar hedges, trimmed smaller trees and branches and was surprised at what it could do. Battery charging is slow, about 3 hours approx after it goes dead. May get an extra battery but for jobs around your home it's perfect.

If you want to maintain your yard easily, this is a good addition to your tools, simple to use and not too heavy!
