Just as good as FIFA
My son wanted the FIFA game. This was on sale when I bought it so it was 1/4 of the price of the fifa one. He hasn’t played the fifa game but is just as happy with this one. I read a lot of reviews and the opinion seemed to be that this one was actually better.

Can't go wrong with PES 2018
Wow. What can I say? A lot.But let me keep it simple.I loved the last edition PES 2017. And whatever comparisons I make will be relative to last years version. Also, this review is based on just the exhibition mode I played in, since it hasn't even been 2 hrs since I received this. I am yet to go into career mode and others.GRAPHICS:In terms of overall improvements, not much has been made here. There is no "giant leap" forward in how the players or playing surface looks. But, in the team selection menus they use real life photos of the players faces (1st string/team players). Although, one thing you will notice, is that the crowd appearance is a bit more "diverse" for want of a better word. What I'm getting at is, in PES 2017, you'll see about 2 different spectators and then the rest is just a CGI multiplication of those same faces to fill up the arena. But here in 2018 version it's more varied -- you will probably notice this more in a PS4 console than the PS3.The menu selection is still same old same old. PES loves to keep it simple and I honestly have zero complaints about that.GAME PLAY:The changes or modifications made here have been subtle. But if you were a frenzied player of PES 2017, then you will definitely notice the tweaks. I can not rave enough about the players motions/movements on and off the ball. Usually you have a colored cursor over the head of the player with the ball. Now in addition to that, you also have a non-colored cursor over the head of the player most likely to receive a pass - or is moving into space to take an incoming pass. Some may like this, others might not. I for one do like it.Now, like I said, I really liked how the players move ... which is saying a lot since I thought 2017 version was the "be all and end all" of it in the sense that they move more "real world" in comparison to FIFA. This 2018 version seems to have taken the computer AI up a level. The players off the ball seem and act more intelligently. Players seem to know when to hold the line, run into space, not just when you are on the ball, but as if they were "anticipating" your game move 2-3 steps ahead of play, kind of like playing chess. I can not say for sure whether these my observations are based on the fact that I have changed my normal camera viewing angle from my usual Dynamic range to Blimp view. And I honestly wonder why I never used this view. Some might say the players look a tad bit too small from such a high aerial perspective, but I got tired of the computer cheating me when I couldn't see an opposing player sneak up from out of the frame (Dynamic wide) and score. LOL.One thing this version lacks is the set piece "direction arc." I have tried all the button mashing I could, and I could not produce the guidance arcs. So, this is the only downside I have seen. And I do not like it. Another thing that might be debated is the quality of the goal keeping. I don't know if the keepers went into the same sports store and bought the same pairs of lousy gloves, but, the quality of goal keeping is questionable when it comes to gripping the ball. Regardless of which keeper you use from whichever team, you will notice this poor ball catching ability when shots are taken. Now this did happen on occasions in the 2017 edition, but it's more frequent in this one.Another plus side is that the game no longer feels like you are playing ping pong in terms of how the passing goes. In older versions a player might be badly off balance yet somehow always gets the ball when you pass to him. Here, it's not that artificial. Passing remains smooth, but more finesse driven this time.FINAL VERDICT:PES 2018 takes what worked in PES 2017 and rather than drop them (except the guidance arcs), tweaked them up for a an improved, fun ( but not a game changing) experience.

Simply the best soccer game
So much more fluid and realistic gameplay than FIFA, it's not even comparable.

I like the gameplay
Is there any way I could change the resolution or from HD to standard? My tv is not HD so the video Image is too sharp and making it a bit difficult for me to enjoy this awesome game and Not ready to invest some cash into an HDTV cause of $30 game lol
