I was getting tired off all the remotes in my car rattling around, so I thought I'd indulge myself a bit and buy one of these mirrors for my 2017 Toyota Tacoma. As described it was literally plug and play. There is one screw holding the factory mirror the wind shield and a wiring harness clipped into the back of the mirror. Remove those, replace it with the new mirror and viola! Done.In terms of programming, also super straight forward. Setting the compass involves driving in a circle (or a three point turn in my case), and programming the remote buttons was as simple as depressing and holding down the button on the mirror and the remote at the same time until it took.The whole process from beginning to end took literally less than 10 minutes. The car is a lot less cluttered and quieter with the remotes gone. The only odd thing about it I suppose is muscle memory. My hands keep reaching for remotes that are no longer there! lol.Anyways it is definitely a recommend. The price definitely enough to make you wince, but I'd say it was definitely worth it in the end.

Plug and play no complaints

Easy install and easy program.

Plug and play installation was simple and straight forward. I have a 2021 Tacoma, and I did not require the wiring harness that has been mentioned in other reviews. The compass is accurate and functional, the mirror dims, and the garage door opener works with ignition off or on.Great product! Still don't know why it isn't standard on Tacoma.

Plugs right in on my 2019 Tacoma trd off-road.Easiest things I've installed but still adding a bit of value. The home link is really nice to have, and it's a wonder why more cars don't have it. Auto dimm and compass works as expected.The calibration of they compass, and the garage opener learning was easy and (though not as intuitive as I liked with the led indicators during set up) but it worked with no hassle!I do wish the compass led was more hidden like on other models for a cleaner look. But that nothing against the product

My Tacoma has a 3 lead plug which matches the plug they send with the unit but this thing would not programI watched half a dozen different videos but nothing workedNo instructions in the boxGreen power light works as does the compass

2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road perfect fit and function. This is made by the same manufacturer as the one that came on the truck originally and is OEM all the way. Took all of 10-minutes to install including the Home Link feature. I gave Toyota negative feedback on taking the cheap way out by not including this on TRD models in the 1st place. You won't be sorry by making this purchase.....
