Yoga Mat Wash and Refresh

I’ve had this for a little bit now, and while I don’t use it as often as I probably should, I do think it makes my mat cleaner. And I think it smells really good—like lemongrass. The instructions on the bottle are easy to use. It does recommend getting specific mat disinfectant if you want to deep-deep-clean your mat, but this seems perfectly fine for everyday use combined with occasional deeper clean as directed on the bottle. I don’t think it’s sticky, which is good. It is wet, of course, but it dries relatively quickly. Kind of a side note, but I would love if there were an easier way to clean both sides of my mat without having to lay the clean side back on the floor. Unfortunately, I haven’t thought of anything yet. It would be nice if there was some kind of spray that you didn’t have to use a cloth for, since then you could just set your mat on edge and spray it down. Maybe that exists. I don’t know.

I have been using a yoga mat cleaner for several years. I found this mat cleaner while looking around for a better cleaner. This one fits the bill. I have been using the Manduka mats for over 10 years personally and as a Yoga teacher. I ordered this cleaner thinking it did not come with a sprayer, but I liked the idea that it comes from Manduka and it is a better price compared to the 4 ounce $12 plus cleaners. I was not disappointed with this cleaner. the lemon grass mat cleaner has a nice smell. I usually do not like a lot of various frangrents for anything. The cleaner also comes with a sprayer that works great. Nice mist and good coverage. My Manduka mat now has a nice fragrant and is a bit stickier for better Yoga positions. Great product and a good price compared to many of the alternatives.

Smells great, wipes down without residue on my Manduka Pro mat. I use it pretty generously so I usually get the bigger size. The small bottle doesn't last me very long.

This stuff is my go-to for cleaning my mat after a hot yoga session, and it works wonderfully! Its cleaning power is impressive — it easily removes sweat and residue, leaving my mat feeling fresh and clean without any sticky buildup. The spray is effective and evenly distributes the product across the mat, so you don’t end up wasting any. I also appreciate how quickly it dries, which is perfect when I need to roll up my mat soon after cleaning. The scent is amazing—fresh and natural without being overpowering—and the quality of the ingredients is top-notch. The only reason I took off a star is the price; it’s a bit expensive for the amount you get. That said, it’s still my favorite mat cleaner because it’s the most effective and smells the best!

I originally purchased this spray thinking it would be something I’d use occasionally, with my primary mat cleaner being a disinfectant spray. After a hot yoga class where I didn’t use a mat towel, I decided to spray this on my mat just to wipe away sweat residue. I used a light-colored cleaning towel to wipe the mat, fully expecting it to be mostly clean since I haven’t used the mat that much. Instead, the towel showed a noticeable amount of dirt and residue. It made me realize that even when a mat looks clean, there’s clearly more buildup than you think. I was genuinely surprised by how much dirt this product lifted off. Because of that, I’ll be using this as my primary yoga mat cleaner going forward. It does an excellent job of lifting dirt and grime, not just surface sweat, and leaves the mat feeling truly clean. I’ll definitely be repurchasing this in a larger bottle.

This smells soooooo good and I can tell it's all natural. I use this to wipe down my mat after my sweaty hot yoga sessions and it leaves a very fresh lavendar smell, but the smell isn't overwhelming. It dries quickly as well.
