A very good American made pencilGood firmness and point retention nice finish. Problem is that it’s almost identical to the Tombow 8900 which costs less ( made in Vietnam ) - neither have erasers if it matters to you.So for my money I would go with The Mitsubishi (Japan) 9850 which costs less than both and has a great balance and finish, good eraser and a shade darker HB. A $ .60 pencil that is every bit as good as $3.00 a Palomino

Kimberly Graphite Drawing pencils have been some of the best pencils that I have used for as an artist for the price. They cleanly sharpen and the graphite scans well into the computer when needed.

I love general pencils as much as I love tombow pencils....both are equally great....must buy....
