Love this product!
It's odd to say I LOVE cat litter, but I do love this! I hesitated adopting a kitten a few years ago because every time I thought about indoor cats I could immediately recall that smell of litter boxes in my friends' homes and gagged at the thought of having that smell in my home. Then I fell in love with a tiny rescue kitten and I had to face the litter issue. After researching, the first 3 brands of litter I tried were awful. For me, with an ultra sensitive sense of smell, I was overwhelmed with litter stink and determined there had to be something better. I cautiously read all the reviews on Amazon about "World's Best Cat Litter" and despite the higher price I bought a 28 pound bag. My experience with litter boxes changed immediately! Yes, there is a "smell" but it's not what I would call an odor. It has a musky sawdusty smell that is not in the least unpleasant. The litter clumps immediately and effectively. From the beginning my little guy adapted immediately to it and never once has avoided the litter box. One reviewer had written that she scooped after every kitty trip to the box, comparing it to humans preferring flushing after every use:-) I have continued to do that although admittedly sometimes only catch it twice a day. I have never had an odor problem, especially when scooping often, which also means replacing the litter less often. I do add to the litter box every few days though. As for it being flushable: I believed the manufacturer but was wary about it nonetheless. I spent money on nitrile gloves and doggie "poo bags" instead, disposing of the bags in my outside garbage bin. When the first winter hit I didn't relish those trips out into the snow to throw away poo bags so I put away the bags and started flushing instead and had zero problems! Wonderful, clean, immediate, and absolutely no flushing problems. I highly recommend this product, highly! My kitty litter box is not a stinker and no one has ever mentioned any odor, and believe me I have asked everyone! Try this, you won't regret it!

Really worth it.
I realize that people (and their cats) have very strong feelings about cat litter. But, if you haven't yet tried World's Best, I strongly suggest that you do. This is a two-part review of the product itself and the subscribe and save program. In the past eleven years, I have tried nearly ten varieties of cat litter: clay (store brand and national brand), crystals (national brand), newspaper (store brand and national brand), pine-based (store brand and national brand), and two varieties of corn-based litter. When someone first suggested World's Best I scoffed at the price. After having used it for more than two years, I can say that hands down, this really is the BEST cat litter we've used. Our cats seem to agree. World's Best cat litter reliably clumps, produces no discernable dust, controls odors, and lasts. We have two cats and three litter boxes. One bag lasts us 4-6 weeks. As an added benefit, the unscented variety is compostable (excluding fecal solids, of course). We have a large property and add the urine clumps and extra litter to the large leaf and garden waste pile (not for our food garden). For those unfamiliar with composting or squeamish about this idea, urea is commonly added to compost to speed the decomp process. Just think about how much cat litter goes into the landfill. Through the subscribe and save program, I automatically receive a bag of this litter each month at a discount. This is an incredible benefit. With a busy family and two professional parents, time is a scarce commodity in my home. Cat litter is an item that, when needed, is needed urgently. And, as cat owners know, not any litter will do. Before adding this litter to my subscribe and save list, I many times found myself driving out of the way to purchase litter only to find out that the store didn't carry this variety or that store was sold out. Thank you, Amazon.

MY CAT IS NOT ALLERGIC TO THIS LITTER
My cat was having diarrhea and urinating anywhere and everywhere, had constant conjunctivitis, licking himself bald, scratching all over and scratched his eye, crying and wailing because he needed to go to the bathroom but he was getting in trouble for not using the box and making messes, but did NOT want to use the litter box. I have never seen a pet stand and wail at me in agony like that, needing to go, but terrified of going in the box because it tormented him. Several trips to the vet, special diet, a daily fight to put meds in his infected eyes, and sneezy runny nose adding up to hundreds of dollars for the sweetest tempered and loving kitty that I have ever been around, poor rescue kitty. He had eye infections when I got him, and has had them off and on for years, but it only recently became constant and terrible. Vets told us herpes, conjunctivitis, infection, but were never able to tell us a real cause. They told us everything expensive, but never thought about the cheapest and most apparent thing to change. Finally, after two vets were useless in figuring out what was wrong with him, told me it was kidney disease, and keep bringing him back, I researched on the internet and ALL OF THE SYMPTOMS CAME UP LITTER ALLERGY. I bought several different kinds of litter to try and several disposable boxes. He liked a couple, this one he actually preferred. A week later, another litter came that said it was dust free and hypoallergenic, so I tried it. His eyes immediately started crusting back up, turns out it was made of clay, out that went in the trash. It turns out that it was clay based, but perfume free. It tore him up immediately. I bought this litter in February, and by middle of March, he is happily using his box, his hair has started growing back, the sneezing and runny nose is much better, he can see again well enough to play with toys. This is one smart kitty that plays basketball, opens doors and drawers and tries his hardest to talk to you. We have Robolitter boxes so there is always a clean box if he wants. The result of using this product is that my cat is not suffering and being tormented by his bathroom anymore. I grouched at the vets for not being able to figure out what was wrong with him. It was the itching scratching and sneezing that made me start looking for allergies. I once had a dog that was allergic to foam bedding, but that was 20 years ago and I had forgotten. He has had so much suffering with his eyes for no real good reason. This allergy was so insidious that you would think that it should have been so obvious, but he used the litter box everyday, so it was hard to see a difference. Thankfully, this company had the sense to develop a non-clay based litter that clumps. Thank you!

WBCL beats Precious Clumping Litter
From a stand-alone, no-comparisons point of view, this litter is pretty decent. For a single-cat household, the bag goes a long way. Half of the bag went into the VERY large Catit Litter Box (linked) Catit Jumbo Hooded Cat Litter Pan - Warm Gray and a refill one month later used another quarter of the original 28-lb bag. **UPDATES START** Sept 2016 I took my cat to my parents' house for a month, and the house is significantly bigger than my apartment. My cat (7lbs, 1.5 yrs old) ran around a lot more, so she ate and drank more. Almost the entire bag was used within a month, with enough left for 1 more week of activity. The amount of time the litter lasts, then, depends on my cat's eating, which depends on her activity, which depends on the amount of space she has. Jan 2017 Coming home from holiday break, the litter was very powdery. It stuck to many surfaces and the cat would not use it like this -- she pooped right in front of the box on the mat instead. It seemed like she had runny poop at some point in the box, and this did not clump up like it did for pee. This was the first time since I purchased (3-4 months) it that I had to fully empty the box and refill it, which is honestly not bad. ALSO for one of my repurchases, the bag was indeed broken open. I lost a few tablespoons of litter and it was a bit of a mess, but I just taped the hole closed and kept using it. **UPDATES END** It smells like corn, but not overwhelmingly so -- I can only smell it when I go to clean out the box. It hides the scent of cat urine completely, though it doesn't hide the scent of cat feces, especially when your cat doesn't bury it. HOWEVER, the hooded litterbox prevents me from smelling it until I go to clean it, so it isn't an issue. There is a significant amount of dust/powder. Dust rises when I go to scoop the litter, and there is a lot of tracking on the mat directly by the entrance of the litterbox. I use a long hallway mat as a litter mat, so floor tracking is minimal, but there is a significant amount of litter bits within ~1 ft of the box's entrance and a thick bit of dust within 2 in of the box's entrance. Slight dust tracking extends to a few feet from the box entrance, but none have made it onto my furniture since my cat likes to wipe her paws on the mat/carpet near the box. If dust tracking on furniture is very important to you and your cat doesn't tend to do the same, you may want to take this into consideration. As a first-time cat owner, I didn't have anything to compare this litter to... until I watched over my friends' two cats over the weekend. They used two smaller boxes, both filled with Precious Clumping Cat Litter (linked) Precious Cat Ultra Premium Clumping Cat Litter, 40 pound bag Precious clumps just as well and has significantly less dust, but the odor control is hideously lacking. Even with daily litterbox cleaning, the smell of ammonia was unbearable with Precious litter. It is also much heavier than WBCL, making it harder to scoop. The clay in Precious also tends to stick to the sides of the litterbox, leaving a smear when you try to scrape it off the sides, whereas WBCL removes itself cleanly and readily. My main concern with a corn-based litter is the possibility of moths, since we've had a previous outbreak of Indian Mealmoths (which tend to lay eggs in grain, in our case, rice). However, the moths have not taken to the litter thus far, which may be either in part due to our cat's bug hunting or the chemical conditions of the litter (aka cat urine). Either way, it has not been a problem thus far, though I will update if that changes. Overall, based on the convenience of clumping litter and my negative experiences with clay-based litter, I believe I will continue to use WBCL.

NO ODOR! This is a product that actually does what it promises.
Our daughter is serving overseas in the military. Two months ago, we had to rescue her cat from the "friends" who had promised to take care of him in her absence. We have been owned by many cats over the years, but none in the last decade. I dreaded having another stinky dusty litter box in the house, and hoped there had been advances in cat litter technology. I went online to search for "best cat litter" and landed on the World's Best Cat Litter site. I read all the hype on their site, then read some customer reviews on various sites, including Amazon. I was still skeptical, so I bought a medium sized bag at the local store. By the end of the first day, I was convinced, and Iโve now ordered a large bag from Amazon. There is no odor whatsoever. Every cat box Iโve ever had needed to be scooped at least once a day, and even with that, the odor was obvious. With Worldโs Bet Cat Litter, I have only been scooping it twice a week, and there is no odor at all. It clumps better than anything Iโve ever used. I use the slotted pooper scooper and run it through the litter box to catch the clumps and poops. No more hard dried clumps on the litter box that need to be removed with a sand blaster. After I scoop, it looks like a box of fresh litter. No need to empty the box and refill. Every week or so, Iโll add a small amount to replace what has been removed as clumps. I wonder if people who have complained about odor may have male cats that have not been neutered, or may feed their cats a brand of food that stinks things up? This cat is a neutered male, and he eats only high protein/low carb canned food, per veterinary advice. Not even a specialty brand - our vet recommended the classic Fancy Feast non-fish varieties for optimum nutrition. Iโm surprised that some people have complained about dust and tracking. Iโve had none of that. That may be because theyโre filling the box more than they need to. Your cat doesnโt need to deep bury his โtreasure.โ He only needs to scrape enough litter around that it will absorb the urine, cover the poops, and block the odors. I keep about two inches of litter in the box, and thatโs been enough for him to do his business, without kicking litter out in every direction. One thing that may have helped here is the new litter box I bought. I looked at all the fancy things with lids and other gadgetry, and wasnโt impressed. I bought a Petmate Giant Litter Pan on Amazon for less than $20. Itโs deeper and longer than the usual litter box, so nothing flies over the edge. I keep the litter box in a bathroom that has white fixtures, white counters, large windows with plenty of sun. Any dust or mess shows up in there, and I have not yet found any litter mess tracked around. Although Worldโs Bet Cat Litter is advertised as flushable, I have not tested that. I scoop into a plastic dog poop bag, tie it shut, and drop it into the household garbage. The giant litter box I bought has two small built-in bins โ almost like plastic flatware baskets on a dish drainer โ that are just the right size for storing the pooper scooper and a roll of dog poop bags.

Best litter so far
I think this is a better litter than most. People have visited and noted a lack of "cat smell" that many homes have with indoor cats. I feel that I notice it distinctly, but I'm also very sensitive to smells. It smells okay though, better than clay. Clumping is good, odor control is good. The dust is a real problem. I feel like this was probably the case with clay litters, but less noticeable. I think to have clumpable litter, you'll have dust, though. Better corn than clay, both for your and your cat's lungs and the environment. I'm happy to be able to get this though Amazon and get it delivered to the home during the misery that is 2020. The price is the same as it is in the big box and pet stores, so do yourself a favor and buy on Amazon. 48 hour delivery and you don't have to leave your home or put on a mask to get it! Win! The one issue beyond the dust, however, is the ease of bag puncturing. I've received them frequently with punctures or cuts and have had some bags leaking, both when buying on Amazon and in store. This is a manufacturing issue I wish they'd fix. Regardless, we're loyal users of WBCL in this home. FYI: This one is the better smelling choice, even with multiple cats. I think the multi cat version smells awful. Also, this is NOT flushable. Water treatment plants can't remove any oocytes in the waste and that becomes our drinking water. Also, clumping materials have the potential to destroy your plumbing. Do not do this.

I see why itโs so popular!
This is by far the best litter โ in all categories. Iโve used a variety of brands, including Fresh Step and Arm and Hammer โ I prefer clumping, and many are fair at keeping odors downโฆ Still there is always that scent of ammonia. I decided it was time for a change and found thisโฆ wow. I had my doubts. It doesnโt look like clumping litter. It doesnโt have some sort of scent to mask the smells. It looksโฆ different. Since using it (my cat, not me) I never smell ammonia anymore. Iโm not sure how it works, but even the โaddedโ masking scents of the other brands canโt compete, and I donโt have to also smell deodorizer. Then there is the clumping. Far better than any other cat litter Iโve tried (and again, I mean my cat, not me). Even scooping it is less messy. Often I find when using the scoop, small bits of litter fall off, but not with this. And urine clumps hold together completely. Dust. Okay, letโs face it, is there such a thing as completely dust free? I mean, if I shake anything hard enough, including myself, some bit of dust comes off (and no, I have never shaken my cat). But still, this is almost dust free. When I pour this inside the top-entry box my cat uses, thereโs extremely little dust on the sides. I had to run a damp fingertip all around the perimeter to pick up even the tiniest bit of dust. Thatโs far better than the cloud of dust I get when pouring other brands into the box. And it sure makes emptying the box a much nicer task. I pour a good 4 inches into the cat box. This allows my cat, who seems to have an excessively large bladder, to urinate to her heartโs content, and it doesnโt leak to the bottom of the box. I do scoop every morning, removing anything my cat has left. I add more as needed. And I change the litter every 3 weeks. I do find I can go 3 weeks with this, as opposed to the other brands, which always required changing at 2 weeks. I like this litter so much that for the first time I joined the Subscribe and Save to have it regularly delivered. 5 Stars.

lasts much longer than other brands
This really is the world's best cat litter. Although I prefer unscented because my house is so small. You use way less than all other cat litters out there.

Not the cheapest but the best and worth the cost
I love the convenience of having this very heavy item delivered to my door--with a serious back injury, this is required. There are hundreds of different types of litter on the market but, in my opinion and experience, this one really is the world's best litter. I don't buy scented litters; there is a slight smell to this letter but it is mild and not offensive. I use charcoal air purifier bags (natural, inexpensive and reusable--fantastic) by the litter boxes so any scent this litter may have is not noticeable. It clumps and scoops beautifully and flushes without issue. I tend to get very long usage of this litter and I don't need to do the complete change -and-washing of the litter boxes nearly as often as any other litter I've used in the past and I've used them all. The cat kicks up the litter and makes a mess but he does that will any litter; the important thing is that the spilled litter is very easy to sweep up. The most important feature of this litter for me is that there it produces very little dust . I didn't realize how important that was until a few years ago when I was on vacation. The person caring for my cats used a different litter and within days, my one cat was rushed to the vet with breathing issues. A $1000 vet bill later and about $2000 lost to a vacation that had to be cut short and I learned a very valuable lesson: dust from litter, especially the cheaper ones, may result in respiratory issues and duress in cats. Thankfully my cat was fine and she recovered within a day of the litter being switched back to the World's Best litter and an air purifier working overtime to clean up the remaining litter dust particles. Lesson learned: high quality litter matters. World's Best Litter is truly the best on the market and it's worth it's cost.

Amazing Clumping. Sustainable
Yes, it is definitely the world's best kitty litter. I would say it's a little lacking in reducing the smell, but I mix a little something else in to help with that. However, I shouldn't have to and it's a little failing of this litter. Otherwise, the clumping is phenomenal!!
