Or is it made to just sit in your pouch pack?** A: The gu flash is very hard to clean. **Q: Is this product made in USA?** A: It says "Designed in California, Made in China" **Q: How do you wash thebflask?** A: Hi MP. The best way to wash the flask is to rinse with warm water right after using. If you do need to use a little soap that's ok, just make sure you rinse thoroughly to make sure you don't leave any soap in there. I hope this helps. I make my own energy gel using chia seeds, the seeds get stuck unless I crank the lid as open as it goes, which distracts me enough whilst running that my pace slows. I don't like that, so I think next time I will try grinding up the chias. It would work perfectly with Gu though, since obviously that's what it's made for. It doesn't leak gel, but I think it would probably leak water. It's the perfect size to fit in my FlipBelt, it's pretty easy to clean, and it didn't come with any funky smells or anything. I'm happy with it, and will likely order another so I can carry 2 with me for my first full marathon this fall (I'm slow, so it'll be a long one.) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good but individual Gu are easier *by J*** on May 28, 2024* Great sturdy product everything works great and holds up on long hikes. Refilling can be kind of a pain also if you like different flavors lie I do this probably wouldn’t be the best choice because it holds more than one serving of gu so you would have to purchase multiple. A great positive though with sticking with one flavor is that you reduce trash you have to carry with you. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great! *by E***K on May 14, 2017* It works great, not sure what all the negative response is all about. I like that I don't have to deal with empty pouches. I have no problems filling it or using it. I found it to be less messy than pouches. I do not have any problems opening it, it only requires on hand and my teeth are fine. To clean, I recommend soaking it in warm water just to dissolve any gel still in the pouch. It is far and away better than individual pouches. Gave 4 stars because I think its a little over priced. ## Frequently Bought Together - GU Energy Refillable Flask for Sports Nutrition Energy Gel, 5.1-Ounce - (2 Bottles) Small, Semi-Rigid, Easy-to-Clean, Refillable Gu Flask for Sports Nutrition Liquid Energy Gel Flask - Cycling Flask, Running Flask, Triathlons, Marathons. 110ml (3.5oz) - BulkSupplements.com Maltodextrin Powder - Maltodextrin Supplement for Energy Boost, Maltodextrin Food Grade - Unflavored & Gluten Free, 30g per Serving, 1kg (2.2 lbs) (Pack of 1) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/26396018-gu-energy-refillable-flask-for-sports-nutrition-energy-gel-5](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/26396018-gu-energy-refillable-flask-for-sports-nutrition-energy-gel-5) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
