How long does it take to dry?

I usually let the polish dry about 2-3 minutes, and then lightly buff with a soft cloth, such as an old wool or soft cotton sock. I suggest not applying another coat while the first is still wet. It will then leave streaks. I was informed a few years ago by a local shoe shop that local military personnel all used the product for inspections.

how do you use this stuff? is it the same as the shoe polish in a plastic bottle where you rub it on and shoes ready to use right away

it is very easy to use. the bottom section is the polish in a traditional paste form. the top is a foam applicator with a convient holder, so as not to polish your fingers in the process. I wore combat boots for over 30 years, so I have done my share of spit shining. This is an excellent product that I wish was around 30 years ago!!

Can you use this to dye brown boots to black boots?

Yes, I have done so with about 4 hours between coats. You will need 2-3 coats depending on the shade of brown you are covering. You can also use black leather dye and finish with the Tarrago for a good shine.

Which color is closest to s dark brown ?

The color closest to dark brown is DARK BROWN. I first ordered Nevada but it was several shades lighter.
