These large-scale trains operate in both forward & reverse directions and are power-driven by an easy to operate RC controller. Includes an exclusive 50 x 73-inch track system that allows you to create (3) different track layouts. Features a battery-powered locomotive controlled by a wireless remote control, operating headlight, removable reel load on flatcar, removable container load in gondola car, fixed knuckle couplers, authentic train sounds including construction announcements and horn. **Q: Can you buy extra tracks?**
A: Yes, you can buy curved sections, straight sections, and left and right switches.  I bought this set for my granddaughter (and I )  I think I paid $89 for the set and then on eBay bought about $75 of track.  We made a really nice big layout with sidings and two loops.  I’m very impressed with this set.  I may be a little over the top, but I also found a couple of extra rail cars from the John Deere set on eBay to add to her Pennsylvania Flyer.

A: yes

**Q: Is this set compatable scale to other lionel batterie sets**
A: It is compatable with all ready to play lionel train sets

**Q: Can this train be used outdoors?**
A: Well, yes I guess. Same as you could use your coffee maker outdoors. 
But don't get it dirty, don't use it in the rain, and don't leave it out there.
It was made to be used INdoors.
