Biolite - Solarhome 620

I have a solar system with 100 watt panel, batteries, charge controller, switches and lights. It is fun to set up but it's a lot of enjoyable work. The Biolite Solarhome 620 does it all as long as the temperature remains above zero. It is a very, very easy solar setup for lights, radio and charging. The price has gone up quite a bit since we bought ours but I'd still recommend it and I'd buy it again if need be.I'm in Canada so I bring the controller inside at night in the winter. It doesn't work at all as the temperature approaches freezing.

We live in an area that was effected by the PG&E planned shut offs. I bought this for those power outages. It worked perfectly for us. I charge the unit during the day then bring it in to run the lights at night. The cords are nice and long. I could place the base unit in the bathroom and I had one light in the hall and one in each of two bedrooms. I brought one into the shower with me and hung it on the curtain rod. There was plenty of light. If I left the lights on the low setting it was plenty bright and the charge lasted all evening.

This was very easy to install and set up. The only downside is the lack of clarity over when it will actually charge up. I think I have to check it every day to make sure it is charging but I may be wrong! But the lights give enough light to see to do any job not requiring bright lights, though are not bright enough to use for reading after dusk. But I am very please with it as it has solved a short term problem (no mains electricity to summerhouse) until something more robust can be sourced and installed. And it is reasonably priced.

キャンプ用でなく日常使いで使用中。ライトは青白系で全て点灯させると１０畳程度ならかなり明るいです。ソーラーパネルは日差しが強い日だと１日で１００パーセント充電できますが、寒い日や曇りの日は充電能力が極端に落ちます。コネクターはあまり互換性がないタイプです。ラジオは日本では使えない周波数です。電池残量が２０%以下になると突然０パーセントになるときがあります。ライトとスマホの充電で一晩で電池がなくなると思います。
