Plantronics A10 Direct Connect Cable

I'll start by saying that if a headset needs this connect cable, it ought to be included with that headset - otherwise the headset is worthless. Having said that, we have about a hundred of these connect cords in use at our business. There has never been an instance of the cord breaking or failing. We've had headsets that didn't work well, but this cord does what it was intended to do. Plantronics, who makes the brand of headset we use with our Siemens phone system, ought to include this cord in the box with every headset that requires one of these cords.

We purchased a headset for a new team member in the office, which did not automatically come with this connecting cable. The cable arrived separately from the headset, but worked just fine. It plugged in very easily and was ready to use immediately. We will certainly purchase again, when another headset is required.

It's a cable. I plug it in and it works. I don't use the quick disconnect feature and am just happy it needs a small bit of force before it disconnects. Be warned that you will probably need to plug this into an amplifier or a smaller pigtail cord to get your headset to work. I bought this for my Plantronics headset and Grandstream GXP2130 phone and found out I needed a short Plantronics cable with a square box on the end to get it all to work. Didn't read the manual carefully. Works fine now.

The A10 Direct Connect serves as a nice way to avoid the preverbial battery headaches that come with wireless, however these unit's mic boom does not effectively pick up the user's voice in a manner that if audible to the party on the other end of the call. We purchased several for our office staff and basically no one uses them. The common complaint among on team members is...."no one can hear me very well...". So users have to hold the mic boom to their mouths, some of which cup their hands over the mic in hopes of improving the call.

This cable plugs into the Headset port on the phone and right into your H series headset.When you push the headset button on the phone the audio goes to the headset. It's a tiny bit on the quiet side , but using the volume control on the phone you can boost it up. Speaking volume seemed pretty normal.Great thing about this cable is you DO NOT need the amplifier box and can use all the buttons on the phone to switch and mute.

Works fine. my Cisco phone required slightly different wiring. I was able to swap with another user for the proper wiring. Would have been helpful if I knew ahead of time that it required the same model number but the cord that had a blue tape on it.

Used to old monaural with foam blob microphone. This is very clear and people can hear me.

If you need a cable that will connect your handset or headset to your phone, this one will do that.

Works perfectly, no fuzziness, clipped well.
