A: Yes, I usually fertilizer my palms in April and September.  I think you don't want to fertilizer in the winter simply because you don't want them actively growing when there is a danger of frost.

A: They should be used two times per year.

**Q: I am in Northern California. What time(s) of year should I be fertilizing my palm trees?**
A: Here in southern Florida we use them during our spring season between beginning of April to early June if it helps

**Q: I have a cluster of 3 palm trees, 2 of them are about 8" in diameter and the 3rd is about 10". Does this mean I have to plant 26 spikes around them?**
A: 18 to 26 would be your Ideal planting...
