## Description

Reach Barrier 3122 Silvertanium™ Garage Door Kit includes everything needed for installation and features (8) pre-cut panels. This insulation is the only non-laminated reflective barrier available on the market today and is light, strong and able to withstand the most aggressive environmental conditions. This ensures the insulation maintains peak performance throughout the life of the product. Silvertanium™ meets all ASTM standards and complies with the International Building Code. The kit features REACH Stick'ems™, a set of adhesive fasteners that are 1/8-inch thick and are high-density, open-cell polyurethane foam which has longer-lasting acrylic adhesive on both sides. The adhesive’s bond gets stronger as the garage door gets hotter and conforms to many surfaces. Each Kit includes (8) 24-inch by 48-inch pre-cut panels and (48) 1-inch square adhesive fasteners. Reach Barrier's reflective insulation products are one of the most versatile and energy efficient insulation products available. Radiant (reflective) barriers are installed in attics, walls, roof decking, and flooring. Most newly constructed homes contain radiant barrier insulation because of the proven effectiveness to decrease energy usage and cost by reducing summer heat gain and winter heat loss. Installing a radiant barrier may be the lowest-cost improvement that can produce the greatest overall reduction in energy usage and expense.

Installation was easy, although it took several hours including wiping down the door surfaces. The sheets stay in place with the stick-ems. Packaging should be more clear in stating that one box will treat a single car garage door, but I realized bfore purchasing 3 boxes needed to cover one double and one single garage door. Although I installed the product late October, I have noted the benefits already and would recommend the product to anyone with garage heat issues. I was also concerned that the 120f temperature in my garage was causing an extra refrigerator, plus a chest freezer, to work harder, using more electricity. desertcart pricing made this an inexpensive and worthwhile project.
Review: if you are going to spend this kind of money i'd recommend the foam board over this product as it is ... - this stuff is basically aluminum foil with some kind of material to make it tear resistant. i returned this item and bought 4 pieces foam board with radiant barrier at my local lowes (4x8x1.5") for $70 after taxes and was able to cut to fit my garage panels, made a huge difference in temperature in my garage, made it look cleaner, and made the door feel more solid and therefor quieter. it has an r-value of 8, where this product has no r-value. if you are going to spend this kind of money i'd recommend the foam board over this product as it is the same price per square foot, otherwise just put aluminum tin foil up which is about 3 to 4 cents a square foot compared to this product at 50 cents a square foot

My central FL, south-facing 3-car garage is now significantly cooler. Installation was easy, although it took several hours including wiping down the door surfaces. The sheets stay in place with the stick-ems. Packaging should be more clear in stating that one box will treat a single car garage door, but I realized bfore purchasing 3 boxes needed to cover one double and one single garage door. Although I installed the product late October, I have noted the benefits already and would recommend the product to anyone with garage heat issues. I was also concerned that the 120f temperature in my garage was causing an extra refrigerator, plus a chest freezer, to work harder, using more electricity. Amazon pricing made this an inexpensive and worthwhile project.

this stuff is basically aluminum foil with some kind of material to make it tear resistant. i returned this item and bought 4 pieces foam board with radiant barrier at my local lowes (4x8x1.5") for $70 after taxes and was able to cut to fit my garage panels, made a huge difference in temperature in my garage, made it look cleaner, and made the door feel more solid and therefor quieter. it has an r-value of 8, where this product has no r-value. if you are going to spend this kind of money i'd recommend the foam board over this product as it is the same price per square foot, otherwise just put aluminum tin foil up which is about 3 to 4 cents a square foot compared to this product at 50 cents a square foot
