Perfect fit for the 24” hinge strap
Purchased the 7/8 x 12” j bolt. Perfect fit for the 24” hinge strap, which they don’t tell you the diameter of the hole on the strap. It’s 7/8.

Worked great for old gate I installed.

Pin not 1/2 inch
6 inch 1/2 J Gate Bolt. I asked Rufus what the diameter of the pin and Rufus' reply was 1/2 inch.Actually the pin is 0.045", the threaded shaft is 0.50 inch. Not a big deal but does make for a loose fit.

Used for 16 ft double gate, I like
Used this bolt hook with 14 inch zinc strap hinge for a 16 ft double gate. I could not be more pleased how gate turned out. This hinge system made leveling and "flushing" the 2 eight-foot gates to each other a breeze. I just about passed on these hinges when I read a review that said they returned because there was too much "play" in them. Once they are installed the "play" goes away.

Well Made - Good Threads - NICE Size Shelf/Flange
These hinges are well made with a very smooth thread cut. the shelf that the female hinge rests upon is nice and wide. The machining is smooth and the finish is very nice. This set is to hold steel gates that are 6 feet long and weigh nearly 150 lbs. The nuts and washers are very nicely finished and should hold up for a lifetime. Excellent.

Very easy to install and sturdy. Perfect length to use for 6x6 post with farm gate.

Perfect to fit my 1/2” gate hinge
The standard screw in hinge pin, became loose and there was no more “meat” to hold it in.Removed it, drilled a large hole, put bolt in and it was easily adjustable with the gate attached and torqued it down and holding strong. A great solution for a loose gate hinge pin.
