Q: Is there an internal zippered pocket?

Yes and a couple of small, open pockets. There are 4 outside zippered pockets also, and an open end pocket on each side that is big enough to fit an iPhone 7plus.

Q: What kind of zippers does it have? I bought one similar to these (totally different company) and the first time I tried to zip up, it parted.

Great heavy duty zippers---5 on the outside and one inside. I used this as my carry on bag on a 2+ week trip to Europe last year. Be aware that it is somewhat heavy because it's canvas - but was a wonderful addition on my trip. I used lightweight purses for everyday use - this one for the airplane. I don't believe you will be disappointed - I love mine!

Very durable, I’ve had for 2 years and put it thru the ringer (plus washing machine a number of times)!

I ucsed water proof spray sn mine snd dirt brushes off easily
